Pac beating Floyd- 1 of boxing's best wins?

That's why I think this really could be a huge win in boxing history for Pacquiao. When was the last time we saw a Hall- Of Fame fighter took on and beat another future, undefeated Hall of Fame fighter, who looked unbeatable in the recent bouts? It's never going to happen and to those that believe it will have a kind of faith that saints would envy. Because it calls upon the individual to engage in magical thinking, which is to say, it imparts Manny with skills and abilities he simply doesn't have.
Is Floyd Mayweather an obnoxious punk at times, sure and a few degrees worse. But conversely what he does in the ring is compose symphonies with his fists. He is a true boxing prodigy and everything he does in the ring reinforces this truth. I agree, his antics push the envelope sometimes but we shouldn’t be distracted by theatrics and promotional stunts. I think he's earned our consideration because of his sheer dedication alone, surely that at least must earn some respect in these parts, right?
Manny is a different kind of fighter with a different kind of greatness and that should be okay, but for some reason it isn't and that's that I guess.
The perception is starting to feel a lot like Ali/Foreman. I don't want to rank it up there with that BUT it is starting to build that same perception.Comment

From my thread:
My Top 10 Victories
1. Ray Leonard over Marvin Hagler
2. Buster Douglas over Mike Tyson
3. Muhammad Ali over Big George
4. Joe Louis over Max Schmeling
5. Henry Armstrong over Barney Ross (126 lb champ beating the 147 lb champ)
6. Harry Greb over Gene Tunney
7. George Foreman over Moorer
8. Jake Lamotta over Ray Robinson
9. Joe Frazier over Muhammad Ali
10. JC Chavez Sr. Over Meldrick Taylor/Clay over Liston
Honourables - Delahoya over Chavez, Hopkins over Trinidad, Braddock over Baer
Do you see Manny taking Floyd's 0 replacing any of these fights? Or deserving of an honourable?Comment

But for MOST, it's hindsight that Hopkins would win. Back then he was given problems by Antwun Echols, an unrefined slugger rungs below Tito. I was only like 10 at the time though so I wasn't really old enough to know what was going on haha, but from what I've read the trophy already had Tito's name on it.Comment

How is Louis' win over Schmeling greater then Schmeling's win over Louis ?From my thread:

Many people think Hagler beat Leonard
No Angott - Pep, Duran - Leonard, Langford - Gans ?.Comment

Pep is overrated. If anything Saddler's KO wins over Pep should be considered. He was fighting Pep out of Pep's best weight anyways, where Angott was a natural lightweight.
The rest are all just evenly matched fighters fighting and beating one another. The Langford/Gans win could crack a top 20 best win list though.Comment
