Boxing's best win would be if pac finds the courage to stand up to arum and tell him what he wants.

If they do fight and Manny fights Floyds fight of just boxing, then he will get picked apart. But if Manny goes all out and catches Floyd, I dont think Floyd will make it. Because Pac has the speed to match Mayweather. But I mean it could go either way though I think Pac has a better chin, and thats what it would come down to. Just my opinion, dont get all butt hurt if you dont agree.

1 of boxing best wins? Historic wise?Umm...I don't think...Depending on how he wins I suppose. But, I don't think so. Well....It would give Pac 5 lineal titles, 3 of them in the original 8 weight-classes. So he will be in the same company with Henry Armstrong and Bob Fitzsimmons in that regard. It would be his greatest victory of his career. But, I'm not sure if is the 1 of the greatest wins in the history of boxing.

Anybody that beats Floyd is one of boxing best wins , Floyd is extremely hard to beat and he is one of the great ring generals of any generation and unbeaten , if Manny beats him at 147 its a great win and will seal Pacs legacy for ever .

Just wondering what Pacquiao taking Mayweather's 0 would do for you in terms of history.

            Some other great wins -
            Louis/Schmeling
            Foreman/Moorer
            Lamotta/Robinson
            Leonard/Hagler
Leonard beat Hagler even less than Pac beat JMM.

Having said that, if Pac were to beat PBF I'd write it off as Floyd had a bad night or bad judges and would then bet heavily on Floyd in the rematch (or rematches) cause any series would end up just like SRR/La Motta.

Right now? Yes...Of all time? All time? What true significance does it have?

It wouldn't be the upset ala Tyson-Douglas.

It wouldn't be as significant globally as Louis-Schmelling.

It's not on the level of Ali-Frazier first fight.

It can't be in the magnitude of George Dixon and Joe Gans winning their first title nor Jack Johnson becoming the first African American HW champ.

It would not even be the greatest victory of my lifetime. Foreman beating Moorer was not only amazing because of Foreman age. But, also because he was such a big underdog. And, it was come from behind one punch KO victory. That's a movie story like ending that we saw in real life.

I'm sorry boxing didn't start with Floyd and Pac. There was a lot of boxing going on and great fights before these fighters grandparents were even born.

Will it cement Pac legacy? Will make him FOTY? Is it the best win that can happen in all of boxing right now? Yes. But, one of the greatest wins in boxing history? I'm not sure, there's way to much boxing history, with a lot of great boxing victories to say that.

You cant preempt significance into the future it could rise or it could fall depending on lots of things , just the fact of the magnitude this has grown too put its in its very own place in history , the combined achievements of these two will probably never meet in the same ring again , and Floyd being unbeaten adds more to it , a lot depends on the fight itself , it has to be a great fight to really make a mark in history or a very dominate win , if it is a great fight I think its a shoe in for one off history big ones .

You might be right but I think this fight will be significant over time if only for its controversy , its easy to place history above our current time , because people tend to under rate whats in front of their face and over rate what comes attached with emotion , hype and stories that seem to over time glorify things way bigger than they were at the time .

Unless it's a 1st round, 1 shot KO punch or a Corrales-Castillo-esque type of war. This fight whoever wins will not go down as one of the best victories of all time.

It might go down as a modern classic. But, very doubtful that it will go down as one of boxing best wins in the history of the sport. There's a lot of history there.

Will it be one of boxing's best wins if Manny wins, definitely. Floyd's style and ability make him the clear cut favorite with individuals that follow boxing. But most of all it would be significant because the Marquez fight only confirmed Manny's shortcomings skill wise against a technical boxer with regular boxing fans and now with the public. To the public, Manny has flaws now. And last I looked, the public creates there own perception. Whether that perception is clouded or not is irrelevant. To the public, Manny is not the favorite anymore. He is not guaranteed to win in the public's eye. Unfortunately for Manny, the public never knew that beating Floyd was probably never a 50/50 proposition or in Manny's favor. But could it be historical, only if Manny wins. Just like when the Giants beat the Patriots. The problem is Floyd is the Giants or even better, the 2000 Ravens defense.

In reversing the question, there is not a sequence of events that can occur for this fight to be one of Boxing's best wins for Floyd. He is supposed to win.
