imho its a good list, and lolz to why PAC should not be No. 1?
EVEN IF YOU HAVE Marquez winning, its a close fight like the first two and like the first two highly debatable, remove the hate goggles and clif called it right ...Comment

How many of those fights were at a catchweight?
Now add the number of times that Pac didnt look very good....
Cotto, Margarito catchweights.... that is 2
Didnt look good against, Clottey, Shane, and JMM TWICE....
that is 6 out of his last 9 fights.
And he is still NUMBER 1? Okay, whatever.....
I hate boxingscene, it's like crack I want to get off but I keep coming back...whatever !!!
The people know what it is and that's all that matters.
This is how you get revisionist history 50-100 years from now people will think Manny was the true boxer while most now know it's Floyd and has been Floyd for at least 10 years.Comment

BoxingScene’s Pound for Pound Top Ten
By Cliff Rold
5) Sergio Martinez (48-2-2, 27 KO)
Martinez wants the little money men to rise and challenge him. While he waits, Middleweight is full of young contenders coming of age. In 2012, one of them is bound to give Martinez a handful. [Click Here To Read More]
10) Wladimir Klitschko (56-3, 49 KO)
Klitschko is the most dominant division ruler in the sport right now but, in reviewing film of his ongoing winning streak in the run up to his win over David “Sultan Dirrell” Haye, the scarcity of talent around him in comparison to other top fighters across the weight scale, and his own limitations, were glaring. If everyone were the same size, does anyone seriously think there aren’t ten fighters who could defeat a fighter as timid about engaging, as worried about getting hit, as groping, and as limited in offensive selection, as the Heavyweight king? But maybe that’s the thing. Klitschko looks beatable but for years has not been. The fighters he’s fighting might not always look like much, but their amateur backgrounds and deep fundamentals say world class. He didn’t look like a killer against archrival Sultan Dirrell over the summer but, through twelve turgid rounds, Klitschko looked like what he he’s been for years: a winner. One of the great Heavyweight jabs ever and a lethal right hand might have something to do with that? For now, too many other divisions are that much better than Heavyweight but there simply is no fair conversation, at least at this moment, about the best in the game without mentioning the man who literally fills the bill. The re-emergence of Alexander Povetkin as a force, and development of Robert Helenius, could provide some excellent platforms to further prove that sooner than later.
Wlad is over-cautious, which you regard as being timid and which you hold against him; but the fact is that his style since Steward tightened up his defence and dramatically improved his jab and footwork is very effective if not pretty, and would have been effective against any fighter from the past: other fighters look bad against him because he makes them look bad.
You mention his jab and his right hand but what really surprised and did for Haye was Wlad's footwork. It was because of that footwork that Haye could almost never land anything meaningful, and frequently missed by comically wide margins. Also, his jab isn't just fast and accurate as well as powerful, but it's more subtle than most give him credit for. He feints effectively with it a lot, and as a result Haye was too busy worrying about where the jabs were coming from to have any time to think about offence.
All in all I think you under-rate Wlad because you don't like his style. But styles don't have to be enjoyable to watch in order to be effective, even at the very top level.Comment

Amir Khan and Gennady Golovkin should not be mentioned in the same sentence, their resumes are not even close to comparable.
Amir belongs on the list now. Golovkin has a lot more work to do.Comment

P4P rankings don't reflect who would be favourite to win a head to head. Pac is #1 because of his 9-0 record over world class opposition in a period where Mayweather has a 3-0 record. But Mayweather will be the heavy favourite to win if they do fight. Just like Froch is ranked ahead of Ward because of having a better resume, but Ward is the overwhelming favourite to win their fight.Comment
