True, but it's also a function of his dominance. No HW can establish p4p cred without beating a Klit. Tyson and Holmes were p4p without p4p comp, minus Spinks who was much smaller. And we don't need to see more of Wlad vs a cruiser/LHW.

Dave Rado is not doing himself any favors by sticking up for Sturm though.

Kneeguel in the "could be" list is just funny.
Khan in the "future" list is ridiculous.
Nonito is lethal at bantam, I dont even think my boy Mares can beat him.

Chemito could give him some problems, he would be much harder to catch flush and much harder to decision, but Donaire is probably more dominant in his division than any of those other guys with the possible exception of Martinez.

      He deserves to be there.

We all know how Sturm feels, but he cant moan too loudly at the moment.

Its all part of the game.

Martinez is the champ, and there is a better chance of a clean fight in the USA.

If Sturm wins, then Germany can host the middleweight division until further notice.

This is a prime opportunity for Sturm to finally grab the MW division with both hands. but he seems more content to churn out no-risk paydays at home (no offense Murray).

Where on earth did you get the idea that I'm sticking up for him? He's a prick but he's universally ranked #2 in the division and has been for years, and if Martinez wants to call himself the Middleweight champion he needs to fight him, end of story.

Do you seriously believe Murray is as good as Martinez? If not your point is worthless. If Murray can get a draw in what was a very close fight then Martinez can get a win unless he's the most overrated fighter in history.

Sturm isn't moaning. He's sitting pretty, getting very good paydays for fighting B level opposition and barely beating them. He has no incentive to fight Martinez, who he knows would almost certainly beat him easily, unless he's made a lucrative offer - and the fact is there would be twice as much money for the fight if it were held in Germany rather than in the US. Sturm is barely known in the US, whereas it would be a mega fight in Germany and would probably sell out a football stadium there.

Martinez is the only one who has any incentive to make the fight because you can't call yourself the champion if you aren't willing to fight the top contenders in your division. Sturm doesn't call himself the champion, so it's not an issue for him.

And the US is just as famous for its robberies as Germany is. And Sturm has already been a recipient of one of the most egregious robberies in living memory, in the US.

Tszyu was past his prime and struggled to make weight, and the referee favoured Hatton. Hatton would have had no chance against a prime Tzsyu. And it's hardly Wlad's fault that there haven't been any future hall of famers for him to fight. But time and time again Hatton barely sc****d by opposition far weaker than many of the fighters Wlad has won shut-outs against.

Martinez is the man at MW, and he is looking for money fights.

He aint going to Germany to fight Sturm, and nor should he.

Prime Tzyu? The one who got KTFO by Phillips?
