Can Cotto Lose To Margs In a Fair Fight?

Yes, I think mocorito can win in a fair fight. I don't think most Cotto fans are angry that he won in the first fight. I think we are angry that he almost certainly cheated to get that win.***Please, no racism***
We all saw how his punches had almost no effect on Mosley, the c class fighter in Mexico, besides a little knockdown, and Pacman. I notice that he will keep coming forward, yeah, but his pressure and punches are way less meaningful. It's like the pressure doesn't really matter because he gets tagged and doesn't seem able to come strong enough to keep his man in trouble. Cotto has resilience but after their first fight he swells for nothing, his tissue is badly damaged. Those punches may not hurt like the first fight, but they will swell him up either way. I think he got this fight but in boxing anything is possible and Cotto has to clinch and have his stamina/endurance ramped up for this fight - preparation should lead him to victory.
Seeing the tools that Margarito has, resilience, chin, etc. Without power, or plaster, possibly, can his pressure do enough to keep Cotto backing down this time?Comment

First of all the first fight was a fair fight.
Post Margarito Cotto has looked average really. He struggled vs Clottey although he showed a lot of will to fight through that cut. He deserves credit for that and I'll blame some of his performance on that cut.
VS Pacman, although he landed jabs here and there, he didn't do much and was just completely embarrassed. More than margarito was. It got to the point where cotto was looking for a way out. He wanted absolutely nothing else to do with pacman and was floored a few times.
Then vs Mayorga for who the past 6 years or so has been used as a fighter for retired fighters to fight to look good against. 7 years ago Tito absolutely demolished Mayorga in his comeback fight. Then a couple years later De la hoya demolishes Mayorga in his comeback fight. Yet when they matched Mayorga up against Cotto so cotto can look great Mayorga went in there and gave Cotto a very good fight and cotto was tagged a lot in that fight.
Then Cotto goes up against Foreman and he has his hands full with the Kid. even when he was fighting on one leg foreman was landing on Cotto.
Cotto has looked like crap and he doesn't seem to pose any type of threat for Margarito. even in the loss to pacman, margarito was still impressive in being able to pressure pacman, corner him, and hit his body and hurt him once or twice. Cotto was never able to do that. And unlike cotto, Margarito had the will and determination to try to win that fight up until the final bell.
margarito had a big size advantage in the first fight, and it will be even bigger on saturday. Cotto will not be able to hurt margarito and I see margarito coming at him once again. Because of all the talk cotto has been doing I actually see margarito even more determined than he was before. I see a long night for mr. miguel angel cotto.Comment

No matter what any excuse comes up with for 2008..The fact is Cotto was not even hurting Margarito. And I am sure Margarito can not put "plaster" on his chin.
Also, Margarito hurt Cotto in as early as round 2. They say the substance Margarito had, gets harder as the rounds go on, in the later rounds. So how did Margarito hurt Cotto so early?
I have to agree with this, There was a mean bodyshot when Cotto is on the ropes , that really shook Cotto and you can hear it when it connects and Cotto seems like he felt it, but the Biased Hbo Commentators seemed to ignored itComment

are you talking about the 2nd round when margarito landed a mean, sick left hook to his stomach that made cotto flinch and back peddle to the corner trying to catch his breath? i believe it was 2nd round cotto on the ropes trying to throw to get margarito off him and tony unleashes a mean shot to the stomach.Comment
