no matter what some might think about what transpired after the first fight, the bottom line is, the damage has been done. that fight took alot out of both fighters.

Margo busted Cotto's nose in the 2nd round with a couple nice uppercuts. Cotto was swallowing blood ever since, decreasing his stamina. Tony HAD a good chin, but i believe it is cracked by Cotto, Mosley and Pac.

For marg to say he wasn't hurt by Cotto's bombs is just plain horseshit. You can bet those mistakes have been corrected and this fight will be more interesting, who-ever wins.

By the way, you don't like Cotto, i don't like Margo, that's just our boxing talk. doesn't mean i think any less of you, for what it's worth.
I remember after the Mosley fight everyone on here were talking that Tony was a featherfisted, plywood chinned, cheating bum.

Fought Garcia(whom some Cotto fans were backing due to being trained by Freddie Roach and having a nice KO record) after the Mosley beatdown and toyed with him. Tony could of taken him out in round 1 but was ordered to keep calm and drag it out to get more rounds under his belt after such a long layoff.

Now I'm not making Garcia seem like a fighter he isn't, but Tony's chin and legendary power is there.

Took 1000+ punches to the face by Manny Pacquiao and didn't break, major respect to Tony. Tony never felt Cotto's power, and never respected him in their fight. Reason why it was do demoralizing for Cotto where not only did Tony break him down physically, but mentally as well.

Some people are in denial, Cotto never hurt Margarito at any point in the first fight. Cotto was effective early landing combos and moving well but when those clean hard fast punches did nothing to stop Margarito or even slow him down, Cotto got that Zab Judah/Mike Tyson confidence broken syndrome and became a walking target.

IMHO, Margarito had a huge mental advantage that helped him walk through Cotto's punches because I think the common sense is that he knew about his illegal wraps, which gives him the "all I need to do is keep trading, landing, coming forward to win mentality."

Also, Cotto hurt Pacman. He broke his eardrum. When Pac ****** his gloves together that tells you something. He did it a few times with both fighters. Cotto hurt Margs too, that fight took a lot out of both of them. Margs even said Pac did not hurt him so he won't admit Cotto did.

Clottey caught Cotto but he never; I never said he isn't vulnerable, but look at Cotto's eye, the dude fought with one eye for most of the fight, couldn't block any rights, and eeked out a win.

He already beat him in a fair fight... so the answer is yes, question is can Cotto make the right adjustments and stick to them when the heat gets turned on... I think he can but he has more of a mental uphill battle than does Margarito.

No matter what Miguel programs his mind to think in training he is always going to have the memory of that night in Vegas, so if he thinks he cheated then, there will be a point in which he asks himself..... What if he didnt?

The moment that happens we will know if Cotto is mentally prepared to let go of what happend 3 years ago and work on the fight in front of him

If Margs takes Cottos punches like in the first fight, long night for Miguel..

Cotto is sure to be going for a KO. While Marg will be coming foward as well. Bombs away- early and frequently IMHO.

Imo the way in which Margarito wore Cotto down in the first fight, sometimes walking through his best punches and the constant pressure he applied... I feel the result would have been the same regardless of whether he had illegal wraps.

I like the way Cotto goes about it but I sometimes wonder if he needed to tell himself that Tony cheated so that he can justify in his mind what happened that night, btw this is not me having a pot shot at Cotto, because the possibility that Margarito did in fact tamper with his wraps is still there..

Please tell me your joking with this? in boxing you either have a chin or you dont there is no type of mental preparation that will allow you to walk through those kinds of punches while landing your own.

                    His words, not mine.
He was spewing hype in my opinion because he also said a couple guys were his toughest opponents right after their fights, and we all know Marquez was his only tough opponent in years. I know what round you're talking about, Margs had him good and that was my point - Pac did not honestly look in trouble until the one body shot. Also, Manny did that to himself by allowing himself to stay on the ropes. He still had enough to get away and hurt Margs in the process. I know he's a tough son of a *****, he just seems easier to crack since Cotto.

Mosley did not give him leverage but Mosley got hit a few times in that fight and still did not react.

Mosley actually said after the fight he felt Margarito's power.
