I feel kinda bad watching the 24-7's because Cotto seems like a good guy and I still wonder what happened to that young fighter that I thought had the skills and the cojones to perhaps take the pound for pound top slot. He might've done that had he defeated Tony. But instead he lost the fight and lost something physically and mentally in the process.
I think Cotto has had his share of tuff fights prior to the Margarito fight and the fight with margarito was the turning point, then he moved on to fight Pac and that damaged him up a bit more..

Both guys are coming in as damaged goods but to me Margarito has the advantage mentally going in he already knows he beat him, and for Cotto he knows what kind of beating he took, it was so bad even his wife says Tony destroyed miguel.....

Those kinds of beat downs stay with you in rematches

Marge only got lucky cuz Pac got tangled in the ropes and Tony got 1 or 2 good body shots in....nothing Pac couldn't handle obviously as he had the heart to show him mercy near the end of the fight, just like he did with Cotto. Only Tony took MUCH more damage.

Marge came nowhere close to ko'ing Pac.... Good god.

It's amazing how Tony's brimming with confidence, weird eye and all. Definitely to his advantage but I hope he's got a plan that doesn't involve eating a couple hundred punches this time. Might not survive at this stage. I'd actually like to see him mix in some movement like he did against Garcia. I think he'd be successful but we'll see.

"me puede pegar con todo y no me va a hacer nada" ~ Antonio Margarito

He can hit me with everything he has, but its not going to do nothing to me...

For such an ignorant thread title(and concept) there's actually been really good discussion.

              Props to all...

We all saw how his punches had almost no effect on Mosley, the c class fighter in Mexico, besides a little knockdown, and Pacman. I notice that he will keep coming forward, yeah, but his pressure and punches are way less meaningful. It's like the pressure doesn't really matter because he gets tagged and doesn't seem able to come strong enough to keep his man in trouble. Cotto has resilience but after their first fight he swells for nothing, his tissue is badly damaged. Those punches may not hurt like the first fight, but they will swell him up either way. I think he got this fight but in boxing anything is possible and Cotto has to clinch and have his stamina/endurance ramped up for this fight - preparation should lead him to victory.

Seeing the tools that Margarito has, resilience, chin, etc. Without power, or plaster, possibly, can his pressure do enough to keep Cotto backing down this time?

like denzel said in he got game IN SOME CASES its not the skill of the man its the will of the man and tony has one hell of will and hes tough as nails....

I dont see how, Cotto hit him with everything he had last time out and it didnt do squat...

Cotto better go after that eye IMO thats his only chance to win.

That a real possiblity and honestly that how the first fight was looking, Looking like cotto was going to outclass margarito and box him till death but he could not keep up the stamina.

In this fight I think if he does the same he can easily win. But I have a feeling this grudge match will bring out the man in Cotto and he will try to engage and trade but that will be his downfall.

If cottos boxes I honestly think he will win, But I also honestly think he wont BOX he will try and take margarito out, which I believe is a mistake.
