Vitali Retires, Article Inside!!!

Originally posted by SuckaPunchI think this move by Vitali is just a ploy so that people will get off his nuts. He will heal his injury and take the six months off or possibly even a full year and after that, make his last hurrah.
IMO, Vitali ain't retired for good.
...I was thinking the same thing. Then people STFU and don't keep harping on him. He will take his time heeling, come back in like 6-8 months, and take back a title or two. In the meantime, King will freeze out anyone worth a damn from holding a belt. Wlad just lost some negotiating power as well and he will fade into the background while everyone ducks him.Comment

Originally posted by TheFairPoleThis is horrible news, but what can he do. If he can't fight he should just retire, even though it will suck without him. I can't believe he is giving up like this. He should have just fought Rahman with the injury if this was gonna happen. Then have the surgery after the fight and heal up.
...I think he did the right thing. If it was going to take forever to heal and he couldn't get any stability in it to begin with, then why would he fight Rahman? **** letting Rahman fight a gimpy one legged Vitali. Wlad needs to petition the WBC for a higher ranking, drop his #1 position in the WBO and the IBF to do it, and go kick Rahmans sorry ass. King will never let that happen though.Comment

First of all, i am saying hello to everybody as this is my first post. Nice to be here.
As for Vitaly, I really thinks he has phisical problems that have annoyed him for a long time now, and even though I don't think he has the heart of a lyon, I cannot say he is a coward in the ring, the fight against Lewis shows it.
It is probable that, if he can heal his problems, he'll be back in a year or so to face the undisputed heavyweight champ that will come out from an upcoming tournament.
Bottom line: Klitscho did a smart move; if he is really troubled phisically he made the good decision. If he is not, he did good anyway because he is staying away from the risk of the tournament and then come back when the smoke is clear.
In the last case, anyway, Klitschko doesn't qualify for sportsman of the century.
But remember that boxing says the truth at last: in 1986 Michael Spinks relinquished his heavy title to prevent himself from the risk of the tournament and then came back for a big payday against THE champion, Tyson: I might remember the whole thing was solved in 91 seconds.

I cant believe people are dumb enough to think that HASBEEN scared him into retirement. Out of shape 38 year old Sanders was more dangerous than Hasbeen. The hw is worse now.Originally posted by kbpoetreezup Anorak...but anyway, of course he's gonna retire, i've been sayen it for a while,...he is scared..he dont wanna lose his precious lil belt he's held on 2 unlegitimatley for soooo long..he wants to go out on top, but he is goin out just as he is...a lil biaaatch..the heavyweigt division is not ruined, it ****** anyway, its better now, cause mayb we can actually watch a heavyweight fight that includes a title bein on the line..instead of an anticipation, then a let downComment

Okay name all these people worth a damn that King won't let fight. King hasn't had all 4 belts all this time. So give me this big list of f'n awesome heavyweights that have been hiding. I sure haven't seen them. The best heavyweight is a former middleweight.Comment
