Like I said earlier in this thread

The only good thing to come out of this is that even though Don King has control over the 4 major belts, at least we will hopefully get to see a unification tournament and a unified Champ.

Also mentioning Tyson and Holmes. Yes they are living legends but Tyson is now broke and bankrupted, and when Larry tried to get away from King, King threatened to kill him and break his legs. You have to remember Don King has kill at least 2 men.

yeah but is that really so wrong? King hasn't killed since the 60s.

And Tyson was away from King for a while. Thank Shelley Finkel for the last 5 or so years.

LOL, You think its okay to kill people even if its 40 years ago?

You have to remember the people he killed are the CONFIRMED deaths. How many UN-CONFIRMED deaths only Don King knows and I'm willing to beat he has killed more than the confirmed deaths.

Then I'm willing to bet Bob Arum has too. And Arum was the one up to the tricks by bidding on the Klitschko vs. Rahman fight out of nowhere. Arum was pissed b/c DLH is taking over the lighter weights, so Arum decided to go **** with King.

If King wanted to kill anybody, he'd take out Arum. I wish he would. And Larry Merchant. And John Ruiz.

This is horrible news, but what can he do. If he can't fight he should just retire, even though it will suck without him. I can't believe he is giving up like this. He should have just fought Rahman with the injury if this was gonna happen. Then have the surgery after the fight and heal up.

He's a quitter with no heart, what'd you expect? He's no warrior. Lewis broke him and Rahman chased him away.

Holy ****. When I read this I couldn't believe he just retired like that. This leaves the HW division in serious trouble.

Who's gonna sell tickets in that division? Worst division in boxing becomes worse.

It's called 'saving face'. The WBC likely told him to take a hike, so Vitali instead looks like the good guy by retiring - until he decides to make a 'surprise' comeback next year.

No matter, it is the right decision. Now we can actually have some fights inside the ring rather than the courtroom.
