I'm sorry, though if Vitali is gone, the heavyweight division just went further down the ****hole than it was. He was one of few current heavyweights who knocked out everyone he faced. It was fun to watch him fight. I don't think theres anyone I'd rather watch in the HW division. Perhaps Lamon might become the next big thing if he keeps fighting with the crazy aggression. Toney now has a chance with Vitali gone. Wlad may get to the top now. Perhaps that's why Vitali retired, to let his brother become the WBC champ finally.

The heavyweight division just got BETTER. Quitschko is gone. Assuming this even sticks. Which it won't. I hope he does come back and gets his ***** ass knocked the **** out.

Hasim Rahman ran Vitali Klitschko out of boxing.

No he didn't. Don't defend him by saying he had the decency to give up the belt. He retired. A retired boxer can't hold the title. He was going to have it jerked away in 60 days anyhow. Notice how he decided to announce this AFTER the WBC decision came down. So he took the cowardly way out, not wanting Rahman to knock him out man.

that's racially motivated. Bob Arum is worse than King has been in recent years. And Arum has always been as bad as King. As have other promoters. But who gets all the blame for all the bad in boxing? King. Hmm, wonder why.

The heavyweight division will improve now, not get worse. I guarantee it.

Are you actually saying Don King is NOT corrupt and GOOD for boxing?? So good for boxing that he steals from most of his fighter ala Mike Tyson and Larry Holmes and his fighters suddenly appear in rankings without doing jack **** ala Golota. Dude with all your ****ing hating on Vitali, I think your the one thats racist.

Racist aren't all white folks ya know. That a chill pill and get out of this thread.

just most of them are. I'm white.

Yeah, King is corrupt, but no more corrupt than any other promoter. You really think King is the only one that pays off the sanctioning bodies? I have proof that Bob Arum paid off the sanctioning bodies. Hell, Arum even admitted it.

King gets A LOT more blame than he deserves. Yes, I totally agree all that bad **** he did is wrong, ripping off all the boxers he has. Although really I agree with him that lots of those guys signed blank contracts and got what they deserved. Anybody doing that is asking to be ****ed.

However, King does very well with the heavyweight division. Look at the very guys you named. Tyson and Holmes are two of the biggest heavyweights ever. This will be a good thing I believe. King wants to make the most money he can. He has to generate interest in the heavyweight champ by making one recognizable champ, which he plans to do with the tournament.

And anyhow, Byrd is trying to get away from King, which it wouldn't be surprising if he succeeds. Even if he doesn't, is everyone going to be mad if Brewster, Byrd, or Rahman gets all the belts? Who else besides Toney would you want? Wlad? Fine, you know he'll get his shot.

King should get this tournament rolling in a hurry. Go ahead and get Rahman vs. Sam/Maskaev out of the way by January. Hell, December if possible. They should just have Rahman fight Sam Saturday really. Or Maskaev. I don't care. They're having that eliminator.

Rahman and Ruiz both have to get their mandatories out of the way, then the tournament could kick off say in April. Preferably Ruiz vs. Brewster and Rahman vs. Byrd. Then the winners fight. Wlad and Toney can fight. Winner of that fights the heavyweight champ.
