I agree with sergio... And he SHOULD be able to. The size and speed almost guarantees it

Not quite on the level of Duran and Leonard but then again, Martinez isn't quite on the level of Hagler or Hopkins either nor is he a natural middle like they were.
Sergio unlike Hopkins and Hagler is willing to move down in weight.

Firstly, remove Marquez, because Pacquiao has never beaten him, regardless as to the official result..... secondly, Pacquiao's opponents were broken, and even the midget Marquez could have beaten most/all of them, let alone the fact that those guys would have been beaten by a number of guys within their own division.

Martinez's opponents were prime, with possibly the exception of Pavlik, and Marquez could not have beaten them.

Give yourself an uppercut, and go stand in the corner.

You " fans " need to understand that only two things comprise a resume, and one is much more important then the other.....
1.) who you fought (the least important, and sometimes completely irrelevant - Hoya for example)
2.) when you fought them (the most important, obviously)

You dont even mention the "who", unless you have considered the "when".

There is no doubt that Martinez' opponents were a bigger threat to Sergio, than Pacquiao's opponents were to Manny.
Dzinziruk was a biggest threat to Sergio than Cotto was to Manny?
        Barker > Margarito ??
        Williams & Pavlik > Marquez ??

To be fair, Hopkins was willing to move down as well and had to for his fight against Oscar but I agree with your point.

First of all Pac's win last week over Marquez is better than all of Martinez's resume put together.

Second of all, Martinez is a walking punching bag who Margarito ktfo and we all know what Pac did to Marg.

Thirdly, Martinez just turned down a career high pay day at someone his own weight who has been calling him out for years. He is a ducker plain and simple and doesn't deserve the million dollar paydays HBO is giving him and he damn sure doesn't deserve a Pacquiao payday.

Why do u keep going on about Pac losing? I just checked boxrec and it says Pac beat JMM. Castillo beat Floyd but we dont keep going on about it.

Pacs proved himself already so he dont have to keep going there are no more dragons to slay. He can chill out for the time being as he is this generations greatest fighter and people are playing catchup. Pac has earnt the right to put his feet up for a while. At least he dont retire like Floyd
because you caint. floyd didnt make jose wait 4 years. he gave him a rematch in a few months and ended any controversy by putting on a boxing clinic. nothing else to say. if pac had won the 2nd fight he wouldnt be defending his poor showing vs JMM. all with his camp saying he will ko JMM.LOL

another dumb post by the worst poster on boxing scene. you must not know about maravilla's resume. he has fought some good men in their prime. and who had a very good chance of beating him. he fights more than soup cans in house fights and no hope bums. like some fighters i know.
