Beating a smaller Pacquiao will not make him P4P #1 if that's what he thinks. Pacquiao earned his rank by moving up and beating the best guys at those weights. So Martinez should stop mentioning Pacquiao and Mayweather and fight Bute,Ward,Froch,Kessler,Dirrell.

It's a little unfair to Sergio to act as if he's picking on smaller guys. He moved up himself and has fought some tough opponents and rightfully won the middleweight crown by beating the best. He deserves a big fight and, like middleweight champs of eras past, is looking for it in divisions below. Historically, that's where the big money has been - not in super middle or 175. I am not putting him in their class but he's not doing anything that Hagler or Hopkins didn't do.
