Size an reach disadvantage against Vitali, that's what many haters would call a "total mismatch" as an argument against Vitali (Frazier is the same size as Mormeck).

Even with the size and reach disadvantage i still think Frazier would have outboxed him. If you could outbox Ali, you could outbox anybody. Most of the super bias Klitschko fans say that Vitali would have deal't with Frazier like Foreman did. That's total rubbish I say, Vitali dosen't have the same power as Foerman and they fought nothing alike. I think Frazier coukd easily avoid Vitali's Jab and straight rights with his incredible head movement and **** away at Vitali's body. Frazier was also all over his opponents, if there's a ref that's really strict on holding, Frazier could just give Vitali no room to do his thing.

Don't think he could avoid Vitali's long jab over 12 or 15 rounds, don't think he could knock him down either (he knocked down Ali once, and Vitali's chin is better IMO). I think Vitali would build a lead on points, and the odds would speak for him in this matchup.

Well Byrd did it up till the 9th was it and prob would have till 12th and lost a decision had vitali not quit. And i disagree with you on the chin bit, I think Ali's was better. He faced guys like foreman and he took his best shots, yes a lot were to the body but he did catch some in the face and then you see foreman at 45 with 10oz gloves rocking the iron jawed evander holyfield with just jabs. I mean Lennox didn't even rock him much with his power shots. Vitali has a good chin from what we seen but not tested yet, Lennox ha him at one point in the fight but luckily vitali hung on. I don't think Frazier has the power to ko vitali, but defo hurt him with his left hook.

Can you guys name a titlist that has lost fewer rds than him in any era or any weight class? Just for verification... the magic number is about a dozen rds or less.

Vitali Klitschko on the average loses a rd every 4 fights. That's one rd for every 18 rds he fights for those attempting to do the math.

But when he faced an all time great he lost. Winning every round against average guys but losing against the only top ten/twenty all time great fighter that you ever fought is not that impressive really. And I'm not interested in all the excuses for that Lewis fight - he was tko'd end of and if the doc hadn't stepped in to save him he could have suffered permanent damage to his sight.

I see your argument about Chris Byrd. In fact more fighters have been able to avoid Vitali's punches (e.g. Kevin Johnson) but without having a chance to lead on points. I don't think Frazier could have gone in and out without getting hurt by Vitali badly for 12 rounds and win on points, he would get tired before. And Ali heavily relied on Rope a dope to avoid getting hurt by Foreman, otherwise he would not have made it. Frazier vs Vitali would perhaps end in a UD or MD for Vitali.

the fight was controversial, lewis should have rematched him. losing a fight on a cut when you are clearly beating someone is not conclusive either way. there should have been a rematch - and there wasn't. who is better is left up to speculation, it was not determined in the ring.

I, for the life of me, could never grasp how somebody could ever think a one handed , one dimensional brawler could ever outbox Vitali when he's never been losing a fight at it's conclusion. It's beyond me.

It's like saying that Hatton was going to outbox Mayweather before the fight.
