I tend to score who is landing the cleaner blows and is proving more accurate in addition to if someone seems to be dictating the proceedings.

I tend not to score workrate unless it is EFFECTIVE workrate, i.e. landing a high percentage of shots.

Marquez landed the majority of the clean and effective punches. He gets points for ring generalship, it was obvious to anyone that they were fighting his fight. Just look at the workrate.

High workrate is by nature going to be less accurate than a measured workrate though.

It's simple for me. Forget ring generalship, defense, aggression, all of that only matters in a close round where you need to separate them. It should come down to who was landing the most clean punches.

Listen to the very start of the 10th round. You'll hear Steward and Kellerman say they would give the 9th round to Pac because he looked "fresher" and "stronger". They both landed 17 punches that round. JMM's were clearly cleaner than Pac's.

It was a disgrace that they used some unknown and never used before yardstick of who looks fresher and stronger to decide rather than the nature of the punches that both fighters landed. They were on Pac's balls and desperately trying to paint a false picture to the viewers. Shame on them. Particularly Steward.

the second and first fight were alot clearer for pacquiao than this one for me

watch again, i had this fight more to 115 than 114 than the first one.. remove the expectation and you will see the light..

not because JMM didi better than pac's previous fight means he clearly won the fight..

i mean these guys(judges) were already aware how controversial the last 2 fights were so theyre really be careful this time around but it so happen they felt Pac got the nod again....

Juan Manuel Marquez had superior defense. Manny Pacquiao could NOT land his signature straight right hand. Not only did Marquez move away from Pacquiao's str8 left, he was ableto slip and duck under it.

Ring Generalship- They fought MArquez's fight. Pacquiao only come forward whiile Marque controlled the pace of the fight. He stopped pacquiao form through a lot of crazy combinations with his counter punchin. He kept the fight in the middle of the ring. Whenever Marque went offensive he landed about 80% of the time.

Clean effective punches. Marquez had pacquiao
s head flying all over the place. You CANNOT score this for pacquiao.

Manny did. His trainers did. His coach did. Marquez did. Every soul in the arena did.

Hell, even the judges knew he lost.

Sitting back and potshotting is not going to do it. Pacquiao did all the work and damage.


I know you people are passionate about JMM and hating on Pacquiao but be objective for a moment. JMM didn't take it.
