  • Pacquiao's defense is his in and out footwork and his weak shell. His defense was horrible in this fight and that is one of the main criterias for scoring the fight.

Ring generalship aka who control's the fight aka who's pace did they fight at.... Marquez for the majority of rounds again no question

it goes on and on this fight was not close.

That is, until I tally up the score card. Pac 115, JMM 113.

It's weird. But I can see why the judges scored it for Pacquiao. He's the title holder. If JMM wants the belt, he's gotta go in there and take it. Not back up and counter. Pac was willing to engage but JMM would back up.

It became more of a chess match than a fight.
I agree, I scored it a draw. When I was watching it though I felt that the rounds Marquez won her won big, but the rounds Pac won he just did enough to take.

I wouldn't say his defence was terrible. You say Pac missed a whole lot, well Pac dodged quite a lot fo shots too...

Re watch it and tell me Marquez didn't msis because of Manny.

          • Wow 520-147 in favor of Marquez. When I watched it live, I thought Marquez won. I re-watched it and it was very close.

            • marquez always make pac look bad. too many people underestimate him and bet on pac to knock him out. commentator for british broadcast was biased just praising marquez and not noticing pacquiao landing, not noticing marquez just puching gloves or just landing 1 punch in a combo. too much propaganda and brainwashing. judges were right if you study the fight close, realize pac lands plenty justifying the compubox. fight on first view looks like marquez won due to combos thrown compared to previous pac opponents. pac looks bad out of rhythm, but only cuz he is more mature and fighting marquez smarter. marquez looks better than people expected. i thought quez won when watching live, only cuz of benny commentator. when watched 2nd time thought closer than before. scored the 3rd time of watching. marquez rounds 2 and 5. 4 and 7 were a draw, tooooo close. gave pacquiao the rest of the rounds. thanks bye.

But Pac won but its just JMM did much better than expected and thats why people think JMM did better than he actually did, ie win. He didnt. But his success is he did better than people thought he would. So should just leave it at that. JMM is the winner and Pac is the loser, but only hypothetically.
You dont want to see them fight because Marquez makes Pac look ordinary and youre the same guy who once said that Pac would do better against Leonards opposition than Leonard against Pac's opposition, I believe.....if Im not mistaken that was you wasnt it?

                Correct me if Im wrong!

Sorry to burst your bubble but you are wrong and the public poll (which is a huge huge landslide) in favor of Marquez winning reflects what everybody except men who embrace Pac's testicles think!

Also just to remind you, have you not seen all of the pro boxers who have come out to support Marquez and say that he won? And they actually fight, thats their job, instead of desperately trying to sway public opinion on a keyboard like yourself!

                Marquez won period! Accept it!

                • The only way for Pac to beat Marquez is to leave politics, stop the TV shows etc...

I think that Pac has gone soft since Margarito. The same time he became a politician. I believe round 9 or 10 Marg was totally done, but Pac asked him if he was OK and sort of let him not get hurt that much and coasted it.

Now I am not sure if it is compassion or what, but his hunger in the ring doesn't look the same. The guy just doesn't clap his hands up when hit, and go straight back with a combination.

Vs Cotto Pac threw a lot fo combo's, 4+ shots. VS Marg he didn't throw as many, or was always looking to play it safe and be defensive. This is not what made Pacquiao what he was.

He really needs to bring back that hunger like the warrior he once was. Personally I feel he needs to hate the opponent. Singing together does not play into his hands. The same **** with Mosely where he was touching gloves with him. You aren't obliged to do so, even if you're a politician or whatever and it may look bad not touching gloves, but people who watch boxing tune in for that, to watch a damn fight.

I am glad Pac is getting heat, because he deserves it. People pay good money to watch him. When I saw him get a Ferrari and heard he was on a few chat shows, had an argument with Ariza and threw his phone on the floor, I started thinking the man has let the power and fame go to his head. However I let it slide because I just believed that JMM didn't have enough to beat Pac.

Well, I also found it strnage watching 24/7 where they built Pac up to be hugnry and destroying sparring partners. Usually 24/7 only do that for underdogs and and make the main guy look bad. I heard one guy was beating Pac up in sparring and it got taken down. Now don't get me wrong, on first viewing Pac lost. I haven't re watched it, but a lot of the rounds were extremely close. I could re watch and give the close rounds to the Champion and then have Pac win, who knows, but all I will say is, if he doesn't show that hunger like the old days of hit but give 2 back type of mentality, he will lose to Mayweather all 12 rounds. You simply can not move and defend with your gloves and reset like that VS him. Mayweather always had the potshot edge in speed and range, but not combinaiton. From the JMM fight Pac lacked power, accuracy and even speed. His speed was not that much faster than JMM at all, which it was back in the days. You need to be constant on the pressure and workrate to beat Mayweather.

Sadly, I believe Pac prime was around Cotto. He was hungry, like he actually enjoyed people saying Cotto is physically stronger.

                  • I think Pacquiao definitely let Margarito survive to some extent. It was like he had alot of respect for Margarito since Margarito is the one who usually makes the fight, he is always coming forward and creating the action in his fights.

Thats another indication that pacquiao was getting beat... usually when he gets hit with any kind of punch he raises his hands in the air mocking his opponent/playing head games basically telling the other dude you can't hurt me. This fight I seen him do it maybe once or twice early but that was it. Manny was frustrated and beaten.
