Manny Pacquiao's resume hasn't improved since 2009 !!

What Pac has proved is that he's not a 1 hit wonder at Welterweight his 7th division. He has proved he has staying power by defeating legit contenders.
There is a difference.
Like when RJJ moved up to HW and took out the weakest link... then STAYED there and beat Tyson + Holyfield with Lewis ducking him like Mayweather. His legacy would be even greater.Comment

It's funny because I distinctly remember after Manny beat Cotto people were saying "Manny will never fight a full fledged WW like Clottey or Margarito at the full WW limit of 147. . . " Then he subsequently destroys and shuts them both out, and all the sudden they are "worthless". . .Comment

Mosley was well over his prime. I'm not even gonna argue about that one.
Margarito was totally irrelevant. The guy came back from a one year ban and beat a bum to get to fight Pacquiao. And let's not forget that Margarito's whole resume is in doubt since the plaster incident.
JMM is also past his prime and is fighting at a weight he shouldn't be at.
Clottey to Pacquiao is what McCloskey is to Khan. A top 10 fighter only on paper. Just like a win over McCloskey for Khan so does a win over Clottey for Pacquiao not do much for either resume.Comment

yeah i could make an online poll about whos the better musician jutin beiber or elvis costello and i bet their will be alot more beiber votes that doesnt mean im wrong for knowing costello is the better musician.Comment

Yes and when they said that they were under he impression that the Clottey fight wouldn't be fixed and Margarito wouldn't have been coming off a KO loss and suspended for a year.It's funny because I distinctly remember after Manny beat Cotto people were saying "Manny will never fight a full fledged WW like Clottey or Margarito at the full WW limit of 147. . . " Then he subsequently destroys and shuts them both out, and all the sudden they are "worthless". . .Comment

I was thinking about this the other day. Since the Cotto fight, Pacquiao has only fought over-the-hill/irrelevant fighters. Clottey, Margarito, Mosley and now JMM. These fights don't do anything for Manny's legacy.
It's kinda sad that Pacquiao is wasting his prime years on these meaningless fights. It has now been two years for crying out loud !!
Do you guys agree or do you think that Manny's resume did improve since the Cotto fight?
Cotto = Catchweight fight
Margarito = Catchweight fight
Marquez I and II = Controversy
De La Hoya = De La Hoya weight drained
Erik Morales Rematches = Morales weight drained
Agapito Sánchez = Draw
Singsurat = Pacquiao lost by knock out
Torrecampo = Pacquiao lost by knock out
Erik Morales at his real weight = Pacquiao lost
Clottey = Nobody
Hatton = Lost his undefeated record against Mayweather
Mosley = Mosley was 39 years old
Marquez III = Fighting a 38 YEAR OLD LIGHTWEIGHT
+ Pacquiao beat Mayweather’s left overs when they were at their worst moments :
Ricky Hatton : Lost his undefeated record
De La Hoya : Weight drained (so Pacquiao never fought De La Hoya at his natural weight) + After a decison victory against Stevie Forbes
Shane Mosley : After a draw with Sergio Mora + 39 years old
Now Mayweather vs Those Guys :
Ricky hatton : Undefeated
De La Hoya : Knocked Ricardo Mayorga out in the 6th round + Mayweather moved up in weight to fight De La Hoya at his natural weight
Shane Mosley : Knocked Antonio Margarito out in the 9th roundLast edited by SyrianUser; 11-08-2011, 05:16 PM.Comment
