Bad comparison.Cotto has done work for years compared to alvarez

Kirkland would need a few rounds to break Cotto down and I don't think his chin would hold up. Cotto's too sharp of a puncher, if he hurt Kirkland like Angulo did he would finish him.
I see what you're saying but I honestly believe the first round KD of Kirkland was more or less just from him not be solidly hit in so long.

The KD punch wasn't nearly as devastating as some of the other bombs he took later in the round while he was regaining his bearings. He walked through at least 5 or 6 bombs and throughout the rest of the fight and took them in stride.

Cotto on the other hand cant handle pressure, at all. Kirkland would meet him on the other side of the ring from round one on and pulverize cotto.

Again, it depends on whether or not he can take punches from Cotto.

Kirkland isn't a huge puncher, he would need a few rounds to break Cotto down. And I agree that if it goes past like 3-4 rounds Kirkland will overwhelm Cotto. But based on what I've seen, I think Cotto would land at will on Kirkland and I think Cotto would finish him.

Kirkland beats the hell out of Cotto. I rather watch an Angulo rematch than that massacre of a match up.

So much hate towards Cotto but he is leading by a bunch on the poll? WTF?

Where are the guys voting for him but not really posting?

                Why is he so......underated?

Not a good match up for Cotto to be honest. Kirkland walks him down, the guy's conditioning (w/ Wolfe) is ****ing insane.

I can see Cotto vs Wolak, Rodriguez, Margarito trilogy[if Cotto wins the rematch], Bundrage. Fighters of that caliber.

Martinez, Lara, Kirkland, Angulo, Williams etc. All of those guys would destroy Cotto.
I wouldn't put him in with a 160 pounder either cuz that isn't his weight class lol. Arum will let all of the 154 pounders kill each other first, and the one that remains will get the shot at Cotto. Kirkland should fight K9 or Canelo, as in his current state, he offers absolutely no reward to Cotto. Once he gets a belt, he becomes more viable. I hope he somehow gets a Canelo fight and wins, so we can see Cotto/Kirkland.
