Cotto has better technique and experience than Gayland IMO. He would be able to exchange and outsmart the ****** dumb mindset of Kirkland.

NOT TO MENTION, in round 4 or something.. Anguls sluggish slow punches were still connecting CLEANLY. Even tho Angulo was gassed out. Cotto will be able to slip his power punches in and that body of Gayland will expose Ann Wolfs posse.

but the truth is cotto isnt gonna be able to keep dodging all these fights. the 154 lb division is proly now one of the strongest in boxing. hes gonna need to step up soon, hes the top guy and i dont think its fair that he hold a belt if hes not gonna fight the top in the division. the magarito fight is understadable, but after that, he needs to fight a top 5 fighter at least imo.

I used to think Kirkland would just run through Cotto....now, not so much.

The guy still can't take a punch, and he's not a one punch guy. Angulo getting hurt was more of a product of him punching himself out to the point where he couldn't even hold his hands up and he just kept getting caught over and over again.

Kirkland would need a few rounds to break Cotto down and I don't think his chin would hold up. Cotto's too sharp of a puncher, if he hurt Kirkland like Angulo did he would finish him.

I can see Cotto vs Wolak, Rodriguez, Margarito trilogy[if Cotto wins the rematch], Bundrage. Fighters of that caliber.

Martinez, Lara, Kirkland, Angulo, Williams etc. All of those guys would destroy Cotto.
Williams? At this point? I...have to strongly disagree with that. I'll give you the other four. They're dangerous. But Williams isn't the same. He can't beat Cotto.

lol...cotto took 11 rounds to knock out a shot to **** ricordo mayorga. forgive me if i disagree. his punches are sharp but they arent destructive at 154 where hes clearly undersized.

And Kirkland got knocked the fcuk out by Ishida who can't punch worth a damn. Why? Cause power or not they were pinpoint accurate punches. And he went down HARD by the first punch he got hit with tonight. Face it, the guy's chin is DONE. Cotto would hit him clean and hit him plenty. If Kirkland can take the punches he would overwhelm Cotto but based on what I've seen I don't think he can.

ok? and he just took very accurate shots from probably the hardest punching 154lber around. so whats ur point? cotto isnt a knockout artist. stop it. it took him how many rounds to get foreman outta there? stop the ****riding.

It all depends, if Cotto doesn't get rid of Kirkland within the first 3 or probably 4 rounds, then it's most likely Kirkland's fight as he would have already gotten in some good shots. It really depends on the circumstances, I know that's pretty much the case with most fights but that's how I see it.

Argh. I'm thinking Cotto's smart punch selection and (deceptively) quick hands should win him this fight but he's 31 and he wasn't great against Mayorga...

I still voted Cotto but I don't know. I wouldn't put money on it.
