What was impressive was how he did JMM, sorry you are to blind to see that~
Its as impressive to me as castillo whupping corrales when he decided not to meet the weight limit.
So you think floyd just forgot how to fight a smaller guy (like zab judah for example).... I mean he is and has been an elite boxer for almost 20 yrs. There's plenty of other stuff floyd's dond to give him props for. Fightng like the bigger man vs a dude who's best weight is 130, who came in at the fighg limit of 144 (5) whatever when floyd was fighting at 147 for many years is not one of them. EsPecially when floyd came in at 147.

And if you don't find it impressive so be it that is on you because he did what he was supposed to do, but to not look at it at all is pretty foolish~
Really though not many fighters always do what they are suppose to do~

Whatever strictly talking the fight, there are impressive things.
Sorry you are hung up on one thing~
I wasn't giving him big props where did I give him big props, I said I have issue with people dogging the whole fight over some **** that was not a big deal to anyone involved really~
Certain things were impressive about his performance, like I said sorry you have such an issue with someone feeling that way about that fight champ

I said 2lbs difference. Floyd is a great fighter, And he's the best businessman in the sport since oscar.
You know we've butted heads at least 10-15 times in the past. I distinctly remember backpeddeling in a debate with you ahwile ago when i was walking around the streets trying to put my daughter to sleep at about 10 at night like 10 months ago.
You win some you lose some, im just calling out those 3 things in your post. They reek of nuthuggery.
Floyd shut out a guy who never fought in his weight class, or the one below it, he came in 2 lbs heavy. The guy looked terribly slow, amd the ts is using that particular fight to base his analysis of floyd-sergio. Thats why im in here. You yjust made a post with a gang of holes in it.
Lets not pretend the win was that impressive than it really was. You're a sensible guy. How is jmm gonna counter or outbox a faster, bigger opponent that doesnt have to cut weight when he's fighting 2 weight classes out of his maximum comfort zone?
To put it in perspective, how much props would you give andre ward for fighting floyd at 165 and he's allowed to comd in at 167. Would you give credit to ward for fighting like a bigger fighter?

I got drunk and watched this fight in the movie theater. I laughed my ass off the whole time. There were some Mexicans in there too and they were silent from the opening bell to the end. It was like a funeral for them, and I was drunk at it.

So that win is only so impressive because really he did what he was suppose to do and like Chris Rock said "you shouldn't get credit for doing what you are suppose to do", so I am fine with anyone saying they don't find the win that meaningful but has more to do with everything than some shit that everybody involved in the fight knew was going to happen.
Also as I said before in boxing very few guys do what they should do always and the way Floyd fought that fight was quite differently than he had fought previous recent fights, I find a guy that can win many ways impressive and that he could do it against a craftsman like JMM and make JMM look foolish is to me a bit impressive.
I try to look at everything, if Ward fought Floyd I would watch to see his plan and what he was really able to accomplish, I would expect Ward to bigman Floyd but is he going to make Floyd look like a clown in the process probably not but if he was able to he would deserve some credit for doing his thing against Floyd.
Also Floyd started at 130, JMM started at 126 so Floyd is a bit bigger but they moved through the same classes. Ward started at 160 a weight class Floyd never fought at, or even got that close to, different situations really.

And what should Floyd have done? I don't know, actually come in at the catch weight they signed for?
Pacquiao had REFUSED to fight Marquez despite ALL fans calling for that third match.
IMO, Pacquiao/Marquez I & II were better than Barrera/Morales I, II & III. Yet Pacquiao wanted no parts of Juan Manuel. No parts for THREE YEARS.
Thanks Bojangles. I could definitely have worded that better.
But the point is still the same. Pacquiao pusssied out. So Marquez made a power play in facing Floyd to exceed Pacquiao's position to become #1. It didn't work out, but at least Marquez had the balls to try.
