We saw what difference a couple lbs made between two similar sized opponents in Corrales and Castillo in their rematch. Mayweather cheated a guy who was significantly smaller and coming up two divisions as it was. No wonder he was able to toy with him. That fight is null and void, a meaningless farce.
Seems to me that 147 thru 14O something is welterweight because cotto had to defend his welterweight title at 145. Also Marquez called out Floyd and requested a fight not the other way around. Why should Floyd go down to Light weight when he was comfortable at 147. Skills made the difference in that fight not weight as we all can tell. Marquez is an amazing fighter but Floyd not only is bigger but better in every aspect of boxing. Fact

JMM got exactly what he wanted, he knew the deal or else he would have flipped out about the weight. He was fine at fighting Floyd at his best, he didn't want to see a bullshit version~

The whole build up Floyd and his team are saying it is a welterweight fight, JMM might not be great at English but I am sure he understands welter weight and what that means, if JMM didn't understand the situation he would have been way more pissed about it.

The limit was a loose thing, and looking at that whole build-up anyone mad about that is straight fishing because it was pretty clear all along what was going to happen and everyone involved knew about it.

Floyd is a bit bigger than JMM and Floyd certainly fought the bigmans fight, which is pretty impressive because Floyd isn't usually the big man and JMM isn't some chump that it should be easy to go in there and fight in a way that he really doesn't normally fight in.

If you don't want to look at that and say wow, ok whatever Floyd did what he was supposed to do, but there are elements of that fight people should pay attention to~ there really is no such thing as a throw away.

I have no problem when people say "Pac has the better resume, Pac is higher on the ATG list." It's not only an opinion it is an opinion that is very well supported by facts. How about we appreciate these fighters while we have them because when they leave, it will be a sad day in boxing.

This is very nice of you to admit this, i thought you was rather antagonistic when it came to pac usually? It deserves green karma. Would you like some, your green karma is quite high already though?

                    LOL .. what an idiot.

How did Floyd MAKE Marquez do anything?

Marquez wanted the fight with Floyd because Pacquiao ducked him for 3 years.

Floyd was already a WW. What was he supposed to do .. sweat down to LW?

Hell no. Marquez had something to prove in that match. Not Floyd. Had Marquez beaten Floyd, he would have moved ahead of Pacquiao EASILY.

It didn't play out that way.

Ironically, Pacquiao is doing the same thing that you idiots are accusing Floyd of. Except Pacquiao is NOT a genuine WW according to you *******ed peasants. He should have been able to easily move down to LW because according to most of you, Manny must constantly eat just to stay at 142lbs!

Hypocrites are so amusing. You see your world through such tinted colored lenses. Oh, the blue matrix pills you must pop to convince yourselves that 4th and 5th are equal to 1st and 2nd.

                      My god that's pathetic.

"the limit was a loose thing"

                      "Floyd is a bit bigger"

You'd be the dude on the miller lite commercials that's always one strile from having his man card pulled.
