I'm not mad at Dawson for slammin my bwoy. I'm mad that he brushed off the rematch imediately & that for some strange reason, he seemed like he really believed that he earned a tko victory. Which is impossible considering that this wasn't a wrestling match but a boxing match.Comment

the main issue is why did chad throw hopkins to the floor, These spineless interviewers from a to z need to keep asking that question until it sets in this blockheads mind what really happened. There was no rough tactics going on deserving of a retaliation for this to happen. Problem is winky wright had dawson's minset messed up to a point he was looking for anything hopkins did and he was gonna pay him back. For either guy to sit there and say the other guy was scared or didnt want to fight is weak and not very convincing. 1 frock head named dawson is the reason fight ended early because he is just a bonehead.Comment

Your sig says everything I need to know about you.Choad was already frustrated in 2 rounds, enough to pull a foul like that. If Choad truly believes he h ad the fight then why was he looking for a way out already. This will get overturned. Hopkins is still champion. Choad is just another faceless bum that tried and failed.Comment

nearly eight clinches, three attempted head butts all in less than two minutes and Dawson was frustrated? Of course Dawson was frustrated, Hopkins didn't want to fight, he preferred to clinch at every opportunity. Bhop has mastered dirty fighting and has lived off it for the last five years...he got what he gives. None of that would have happened if he isn't trying to lean in and lunge with his head with every overhand right he throws. You are entitled to your own opinions but not entitled to your own facts.
Compubox doesn't lie. Dawson was punching thin air in the 2nd round. Hopkins was timing him. Chad was frustrated and didn't want to be bullied, and used an aggressive move that backfired in that it ended the fight controversially and will eventually be ruled a No Decision.
I would like to see a rematch. I think Hopkins has his number. 2 punches landed in round 2, 1 being a jab. I don't think Chad has the ring intelligence to adapt.
that said....
anybody notice that bhop is cleverly asking for a no contest here as opposed to a rematch? Chad was a mandatory challenger. If bhop were to somehow to get the descion overturned, he gets a check, avoids a loss, keeps his title, and is under no obligation to fight again. crafty, crafty, crafty...
Look at the 2:23 point of round 2. Bhop throws an overhand right, misses, and throws his head nearing into Chad's face. Chad has to grab his head and hold it!!!!.... who wants to deal with that **** all night. If Chad would have gotten busted open again, then he wouldn't been called the quitter.Last edited by Boxingwizard; 10-19-2011, 09:43 AM.Comment

He didn't throw him to the floor, he postured up from a ducked position while Hopkins was leaning down on his back and proceeded to shrug him off with his shoulder. I don't know why this is so hard to understand when the video is there for everyone to see. You talk like he picked him up and threw him. The only hand contact was by the left hand and it was incidental while Hopkins was already in the air.Comment
