If Mayweather did over 1 million, with a guy who's never even been remotely close to a PPV star (Ortiz is a good fighter, no doubt)...I'd be impressed. I am guessing it did in the 1.1-1.2 million range. If that's the case, than it did about as well as Pacquiao-Margarito and Pacquiao-Cotto.

Aks yourself this, what would Pacquiao-Ortiz have sold??? Pacquiao sold an entire 100,000 less against Hatton and Mosley than Mayweather. I am guessing a Pacquiao-ortiz fight would sell in the 900k-1 million range.

Mayweather did over 1 million with a guy who's not even close to a PPV star...I'd say it was a success.

Considering the amount of effort they put into marketing it

Considering it was a Mexican opponent on a Mexican holiday

            With a Mexican loaded undercard

I'd say 1.1 million is rather disappointing.

The undercard is what brought more PPV, it was damn good !

I hope Mayweather and Pacquiao PPVs tank until they face each other. Or Martinez.
