Linares vs De Marco Stoppage Did you agree?

Good stoppage! The blood was affecting his vision & his face was a complete trainwreck, you can see even after the ref jumped in he wasn't with it.
Sure he was ahead & was taking shots on his gloves but he was also eating a lot of huge shots & his face was a complete mess.

Glad the referee stopped it because Linares is a damn good fighter that can come again and has a bright future. If the referee had let that continue there was a good chance it could of destroyed his career.

Amazing 11th round and IMO the best round of the year. Hats off to Linares he's a damn good fighter & dug deep in round 11, firing back but the gutsy De Marco did enough to call the ref to stop it. Great fight.

but yeah for me it wasnt in a situation where he was out on his feet and his hands was up blocking shots

Fair stoppage. Linares didn't want to fight anymore. He took a couple of shots and started walking straight back until he was against the ropes. DeMarco was going to take a breather but saw that Linares wanted out so he jumped on him. By then, the ref had all he needed to stop the fight.

Linares will be back. DeMarco is no joke. I don't know why people wrote him off so badly.

I thought Linares wasn't super hurt (yet) and that the stoppage was a little early, it wasn't a terrible stoppage by any means though. In real-time I didn't see any indicators that he didn't want to fight anymore like other posters have stated, I'll have to watch it again though.

IMO using the "but he didn't protest" argument implying the fighter himself thought it was a good stoppage is lame. Complaining to the ref doesn't do s***, and I'm sure some fighters just don't even bother cause in the end it accomplishes nothing.

I'm tired of these early stoppages. No wonder why people that used to watch Ali and even Ray Leonard don't pay the sport any attention anymore. This **** is like diet boxing.

I was at the fight and in my opinion it was a legit stoppage. He started to get battered and was close to going down. His face was a bloody mess you could clearly see it from wherever you sat in the staples center. Both gave great performances and showed a lot of heart. I say rematch because it's sure to be a great fight again.

If you watch the replay, Linares lowered his guard and was stumbling head forward just as the ref intervened and held him upright. The ref spared him from further punishment. Had he not intervened, DeMarco would have teed off and sparked him out. Linares should have taken a knee in order to recuperate before DeMarco came charging at him during the final barrage.

If he were not bleeding as bad as he was, the fight could have made it to the 12th. With that blood all over his face, the ref payed extra attention to Linares and stopped it at the right moment. Linares did not fight smart towards the end. Blame Linares for the stoppage.

One of the main things ya got to look at when questioning was a stoppage fair or not is did the fighter want to continue and if you look at Linares he just didnt want to he fought his balls and musta been tired and in alotta pain so i think the fight was just going outta him and if its let continue Demarco will continue fighting like he is on ******* so it was a good stoppage because Linares did not want it but he will be back was unreal til the stoppage
