Yes although it frustrated me how easily Linares could have prevented it from happening. He was blinded yes but as said he could have taken the knee or clinch. Do anything to survive until the bell ended the round and allow his corner to have a chance to stop the bloodflow. Instead he just stood there and got beat up on. Talented boxer but he has a lot to learn about survival.

his legs were not what they were early in the fight and demarco had saved all of his energy for surges // attempts to stop him late


if he paces himself better in the first half of the fight he'll do better
he was winning rounds by a lot
if he held back and just won them by a little perhaps he would have done better downt he stretch


credit demarco for coming into the fight with the right gameplan and being a genuine power puncher. that hook he throws is so short you'll catch an elbow if it misses. and his left hand has lots of leverage and is straight as you can throw it. power punches.

I was thinking the same thing. He boxed brilliantly for 10 rounds and he could've
just got on his bicycle for last two rounds and won a UD.
Oh well, he will probably have another title fight in a year.

Good stoppage, the ref save linares, there was no way linares was gonna get demarco off of him, and demarco was punching with bad intentions.

Good stoppage, Ref saved Linares from getting a worst beat down. It's funny how everyone doesn't want to give DeMarco any credit for this amazing come from behind win. Linares showed flashiness and skill but in the end that's not all it takes to win a fight in the ring.

DeMarco had problems adjusting to Linare's speed and elusiveness but once he got in a rhythm he was able to time him and landed some good shots throughout the fight, his only problem is that he is not really a volume puncher and gets into a counter-puncher mode when in reality he is more effective going forward and being more aggressive.

If you look at the punch numbers after the fight, DeMarco, despite throwing less punches, had a better connect ratio than Linares. If he would only let his hands go more like he did earlier on his career, people would take him more seriously.
