He's clearly better than he was in the first Marquez fight. He's not a completely different fighter or anything, but he is leagues smarter and more comfortable with his style than he was then.

like u mentioned wiehgt cutting isnt putting any stress on his body but i dont think that sreally messed with him back then either
he is more experienced now
but his success is mainly due to his style being good for beating bigger guys rather than him "evolving" imo

What kind of thread is this gnhs??huh boy??
His power is beyond limit and more powerful fighter by 1000X, his light speed unmatchable and his movement is incredibly improved. Pacquiao is a ****ing beast that terrorized the sport. He has the boxing world shook.

Pacquiao counter punches a hell of a lot more now, and his right hook he throws with better technique. He used to sort of just whip his right not completely put his body with it.
The rest is the fact that he's kept his speed for the most part, and WW's can't really fight at a FW pace that he fights at.
He was always good, just at Fw he fought great fighters. Barrera and morales were great fighters.
people forget that Pacquiao had a marvin hagler type career, he didn't get short cuts. He messed everyone up in asia and caught roaches attention, and from then on he just got better.

im not saying he will lose
i just think he has mistakes that marquez might capitalize on making it an interestng fight even if he gets koed by pac eventually

it seems to me that he is about the same fighter thatfought marquez the second time and david diaz at 135
it just that he looks great and dominates these bigger guys causee he has a great chhin and can take there punches and has the power of a middle weight plus the bigger guys cant see his punches comming
because of his chin and his power he doesnt hav those huge disavantages that a smaller fighter has when moving up
IMO he is definatey more seasioned now but its more of him haveing the right style to beat bigger guys than him improving significantly
guys like marquez and morales arep4p better fighters than the welters pac beat and they are able to handle his hand and foot speed were the big guys cant captalize on openings when pac lunges in and out with his attacks
if marquez wasnt 38 i would give him as much a chance as people did for the first two fights
and i think it will be a good fight even if pacs youth ultimatly stops marquez cause jmm is a warrior and his has the style and abilty to captalize on pacs mistakkes an counter him(even if heeventually gets blown out)
your guys thoughts??Originally posted by The_Bringer View PostPacfans believe the myth that he is a completely different fighter now, than he was then. When pressed on this issue, they often resort to the addition of the right hand as proof of his "evolution".
When anybody who's truly watched his career closely knows his right hand was there as early as the first Morales fight.
He's the same fighter he was then. Only bigger, and with more confidence and experience to draw upon.Last edited by boxer.exposed; 10-16-2011, 10:54 PM.

.. I agree that Marquez is like Manny kryptonite. It will be a ****ing war bro. But know that Pacquiao is on some god level now. Just have that clear man.
But yeah like I agree, Marquez is going to give Pacquiao everything he got and hell. It will be an exciting fight and another classic.
