Hopkins was always boring to watch, he's made racist remarks his whole career, he kicked out his own family from a home he owned, he fought with Fisher over money because Hopkins is a money hungry w h o r e, and he's quit in two fights, this one and Robert Allen.

Don't forget the canvas is padded, you just don't dislocate your shoulder from coming down on the canvas, you can break or fracture a knee or ankle but that's from a different movement altogether. Rugby players are routinely thrown to the hard ground on their shoulders or elbows a dozen times in each match, with no problems. guy with muscular shoulders like Hopkins should have no problem.

Listen, I fell harder than that today raking leaves. These guys are super athletes, and this super athlete gets injured from that small of a fall. By the way, the canvas they fall on is not very hard. It's not as if they're falling on cement. The canvas fighters fight on is soft for a reason.

What a misleading report by this Chris Labate, whom I never have heard of. If you are going to report boxing news you need to rely on the facts and only what you can verify, not on assumptions and bias. You are misleading the readers of Boxingscene with this so-called report on the fight. You should not assume and basically lie that Hopkins told the ref that he could not continue especially when Hopkins denied it in the post fight interview and the ref has not been interviewed. Its just blatantly false and you know it. If you do not like Hopkins you need to set that aside and give the actual truth of what happened. By the way Dawson did not just, "push him off in a tackle like format", (which is probably the dumbest phrase of words put together to describe what happened)he picked up Hopkins and threw him to the canvas which is an obvious foul.
If you can't go by the guide lines of basic journalism then you should not be doing it at all. What you are doing is amateurish!
