Yes it is. Sergio is a Middleweight. Just because 154 happens to be a weight class limit doesn't make it any less of a catch weight. That's like saying Pacquiao-DLH wasn't fought at a catch weight. I could understand if Martinez was moving back and forth between classes like Paul Williams did, but he hasn't fought down there in years. I'm sure he could make it easily, but he's still a Middleweight.

To be honest, sergio shouldnt be calling out manny or floyd, but at the same time, dont blame the man. Fighting either of the 2 guarantees the biggest pay day of your career. He really needs to either stay at 154, or stay at middleweight, cuz he is too small for super middle. He's too old and has already grown into his body fully to jump up like that.

seriously, if i at 150, that's not even a real fight. I can understand a 150 fight with pac man, cuz he's tiny, but with floyd at the least 154. Im not being biased for pac man either, but even u *****s know floyd comes in bigger than manny come fight night.

So he was on a Spanish (from Spain) radio show just now and he mentioned he's starting his own promotional firm with his manager (Sampson Lewkowicz). He also said there's going to be a movie (or documentary?) about him.

Once again he reaffirms the negotiations with Mayweather are very advanced and concrete. He says he just has to wait one more week, but he's extremely sure the fight is going to be made.

Since when does a catch weight have to help only one fighter? If anything that's abusing it, which is what guys like Pacquiao, Danny Green, Sugar Ray Leonard and now even Cotto have been doing. A catch weight is meant to be a weight limit that two fighters in different weight classes meet at to fight at even grounds. Floyd is a WW and Sergio is a MW. Therefore the midpoint would be around 153 or 154. Its still a catch weight, whether both have fought there before or not.

Listened to it, Martinez said we're gonna have to wait a week at least, said he's very sure it's gonna happen in 2012. He said it with great confidence too.
