Agreed. Floyd has fought there before and Sergio will come in to the fight a similar weight to what Ortiz did. So there really should be no catchweight.

Sergio showed his age and didn't look that good at all in his last fight. Bloodied and busted up by a 23 fights fighter who held his own in there and gave Sergio trouble.

Mayweather is supposed to beat an old version of Sergio who got troubled by an okay fighter. Floyd saw what most saw that night and surprise he's fighting him lol.

Pretty much answers the questions and speculation brought up in this thread. Funny how Mayweather vs Mosley was the biggest boxing event in 2010 and during post fight PBF entertained the possibility of a Sergio fight, yet everybody got amnesia.

The fight should so obviously be made. But its like Floyd expects a bravery award and pat on the back for doing so!
Sergio is stepping down in weight for Floyd, which is traditionally harder to do it seems so where is the risk and why is it so big a deal that Floyd fights Sergio.

Other fighters Sergio fights dont get praise and honours of bravery so why does Floyd expect special treatment or something? Stop using different weight divisions to avoid fighting people is what i say. Pac is campaigning at WW deliberately so FLoyd cant avoid him and no one can accuse Pac of being scared of Floyd And if you do say Pac is scared of Floyd, no one would believe you.
