Fighting Ortiz(coming off a big win)after a near two year lay off was not a cherry pick unless you're biased with an agenda. Or unless you can come up with a better welterweight for him to have fought not named Pacquiao.

did you see the collazo fight? im pretty sure we can agree 147 isn't hatton's best weight. great win, sure but it isn't hatton's best weight. that is fact

ortiz was the best option out there, although that's not saying much as i said since he has one good win at ww. it was an ok win, nothing more nothing less.

Maidana destroyed him, he was damaged goods.

        Floyd fought Maidana's leftovers.

        Does that sound familiar?

I didn't say it was his best weight. But he did fight at 147 prior to the Mayweather fight. So it's not like it was his first fight at 147.

Wouldn't matter if it was anyway.

            It's one weight class.

so the **** what? he didn't fight him now did he?

marquez was cherry picked by floyd. so did pacquiao at this point

mosley was an ok win. not a cherry pick imo, a cherry pick for pacquiao no doubt about it

ortiz was never expected to win. he's a decent tune up fight, floyd could have done worse in his comeback. kind of a cherry pick
nah.. you're finding faults when there isn't any..

Ortiz was not a cherry pick.. Pac won't take the test that the "cherry picks" take..

Exactly, not to mention that Collazo was the best opponent Hatton faced at the point. Size wasn't the issue, Hatton was vastly overrated and that's all there is to it.

Completely agree hatton's best weight was 140, and I think we can also agree that Mayweather's best weight was probably 130-135, so neither of them were fighting at their best weight.

Then I'll assume you picked Tzsyu to beat Hatton? Vastly overrated is such an easy thing to say in hindsight.

Why would you assume that? Funny you said that though, I made some money betting on Hatton in that fight and I made a lot of money betting on Mayweather. Anyone who was following boxing back then remembers how horribly overrated Hatton was.
