    • Its not surprising considering Ortiz won 3 outta the first 4 rounds and had floyd running and blocking for dear life once he had that right hand lead's (which in Ortiz's words felt like a slap from a girl) timing down.

      • We would have beaten Mayweather, if Vic didn't headbutt him, then Vic hadn't let his guard down, and Floyd didn't suckerpunch him, and if Floyd wasn't winning the fight, and if Mayweather wasn't a better fighter. Ya'know, then we would have won.

The only one responsible for Victor's loss is Victor himself.
          never go full ******.

Could it be that Ortiz head butts as a dirty tactic (not too dissimilar to maybe mayweather's elbows or Holyfields headbutts, or Golata's low blows)? People do dirty things to get an edge in the heat of the moment. You may recall Golota put a whopping on Rid**** Bowe before the disqualification.
Yeah I hear you but Ortiz apologized, so that means he didn't mean to do it or if he did, he felt bad about it.

Too bad the fight ended so soon.

As for you, "diesel" - the guy was most likely questioned about this topic by a reporter. Was he supposed to not answer, just to please nasty morons such as yourself? Think what you say.
              he could tell the truth...

              Ortiz wasnt winning the fight...

Ortiz and co lied about the multiple elbows only they saw....

Ortiz was looking for a way out, that is the only explanation for such a flagrant foul.....

ortiz getting stronger?? Since when?? When have you seen mayweather tire out????

              • Honestly I agree with Garcia, the fight was going better than expected, people use compubox to tell Mayweathers side of the story but we all know the truth about that, but let them use Compubox.... the numbers dont lie right? well in that case Mayweather who is supposed to be the best fighter on the planet did slightley better in the power punch catogory than did Berto.
                http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/vi...berto-compubox
and Floyds Jabs landed on Ortiz were on par with Bertos.... in fact Berto was able to drop Ortiz in round two with out a sucker punch... but thats another story in itself....
However against Mosley Floyd threw in the first four rounds only 125 shots, against Ortiz he was forced at a much higher pace the numbers do not lie
Power shots against Mosley were not as much as they were against Ortiz....

                http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/vi...osley-compubox

and again with Marquez in the first four he only threw 116 shots total... and in neither the mosley fight nor the Marquez fight was he getting hit back like he was with Ortiz, especially to the body. nor was he missing alot of shots against Mosley or Marquez like he was with Ortiz.

you add that up and you have a fighter who will get tired later on during the fight... and factor in Ortiz was not a dead man walking like Marquez and Mosley, this kid is ten years younger obviously bigger than Marquez... and a southpaw.

To me the sucker punch, was Floyds way of quitting, he was not comfortable in there with Ortiz at all, which is why he took that route. I mean you have to ask yourself what kind of fighter in the real world would enjoy living out the rest of his life with that kind of win?

Obviously a fighter who didnt like the position he was in during the fight.... and now has to live out the boo's everywhere he goes.... anything to protect that 0.

Why didn't Ortiz get up when he said the ounches didn't hurt; he was getting whitewashed he quit. Berto hit him harder than Floyd did and he got up twice but he knew there was nothing he could do to win; his eye was clsoing it was only going to get worse as he got moe desperate. Live in that bubble that Ortiz was coming on I mean in his mind he didn't lose the fight LOL f**king clowns.

So your saying Floyd hits like a ***** I can dig it, if you had any clue about this sport you would know that the two clean un expected shots that nailed Ortiz did enough damage in which he could not get up, look at the way his head bounced off the canvas and everybody in boxing knows the shot you dont see is the one that hurts you...

Ill give you some time to learn a bit about the sport, no need in picking on a green pea... Ohh wait his eye was closing I forgot that means your automaticly going to lose thats right how foolish of me...
look at the post fight interview with Merchant, he has a small mouse, the swelling showed as time went by no doubt, but thats cus the fight was over and there was no real need to control it....
                    but hey you know boxing

LOL I know a hell of alot more than boxing than you I gurantee that. Let me break down genius. Ortiz saw the first shot and chose turn his head looking for help when the right hand landed. He hit the ground back first his head didn't the canvas hard at all. His eye was going to get worse as the fight wore first right hand Floyd couldn't miss with it. Floyd would him miss like he was and frustrate him more mentally than physically. Victor was happy to be there he knew after the 3rd rd he couldn't win the fight thats why he headbutted him like he did; he wanted a way out thats why he didn't get up not because he was that hurt.
