Comments Thread For: Victor Ortiz Trainer: We Would Have Beaten Mayweather

I am not making this a Pac/Floyd debate but just replying to a post on the subject. Victor Ortiz is a dumb ass with a weak mental under pressure. He blew two of the biggest fights of his career. Marcos Maidana and Floyd Mayweather Jr. Andre Berto was a good win but can he come back and do it again?

Conclusion: I just don't see anything Pac does that can supersede Mayweather in the ring technically. Pac's biggest attribute is his speed but Floyd has that going for him too. I think Pac's power is overrated. Sure he can hit but the last person he officially put out with one punch is Ricky Hatton. Pac has to hit Mayweather often to damage him and I would bet all my points on that not happening. Also factoring in that Freddie Roach has already gone on record as saying that Floyd is totally different then all Pac's opponents and he has to make Pac see what he sees inorder to beat him while Floyd adjusts during the fight.
Roach has to change Pac's style up that has been successful for him all these years. IF this fight ever happens (which I think it won't) Floyd beats Manny Pacquiao and gets him out of their around the 10th/11th rd (corner stoppage). Manny just gets hit too much for my taste and Floyd just hits opponents too much very accurately. Pac fans don't get mad at me and call me names because this is strictly my analytical outlook of the two as fighters. You can believe that Pac would win and Floyd fans can believe the same thing. Totally up to you but I'm sure Pac gets beat by Floyd.
Great analysis.

But this analysis makes soo much sense man. taking all the facts into consideration and just going with wisdom, id give pac a punchers chance IF THAT, i really dont see what people see that will make him run through Floyd?? to me Floyd just has it all and his power is pretty underrated if i may say so. he just doesnt sit on his punches like that or like to through haymakers and be out of position....always playing chess and is always atleast a full game ahead, he already won while your taking his pawn thinking your winning his eye is on the king and your playing into his hands... gotta love the best boxer of this generation, if you dont then atleast respect his boxing IQ. nothing short of phenominal.

I aggree with Danny. I think Ortiz and team had a great game plan and Floyd knew he was going to get a very tough fight from Ortiz so he found a way out. But Danny and Ortiz should move on and it looks like Ortiz has. I think Ortiz should fight Berto again to show that he can beat him again. Than keep fighting whomever, in time people will be asking to see Ortiz against the Floyd or Pac if they still around in a 1 year or 2.
