I think Victor would have had chances to hurt Floyd, there's little doubt in my mind about that. Floyd wasn't too comfortable in there against the ropes, I think. He may have been catching Victor in the middle of the ring, but that's not where all of the fight would have been. Having said that, Victor got ******, and paid for it. Too bad the fight ended so soon.

As for you, "DIESEL" - the guy was most likely questioned about this topic by a reporter. Was he supposed to not answer, just to please nasty morons such as yourself? Think what you say.

May be you people will not agree with me but fact is that victor was pushing that fight and Floyd indicating that he didnot hurt him which means that he was putting pressure on Floyd. If fight goes up to last rounds the result might be different.

yeah, in fact Victor was doing SOOO good that he wanted to celebrate his performance by propelling his huge head into Mayweather's face...

Ortiz was getting outclassed. You think the first four rounds were bad? Just imagine what Mayweather would do after these round. Mayweather usually starts to dominate in the 2nd half of the fight.

Lol relax. What 'would have' happened doesn't matter. We deal with reality, what's done is done.

Out classed? Shane was out classed.

                    Victor was losing.

                    The first round was close.

Vic may have edged the second round.

                    Floyd dominated the third.

And Vic won the fourth by dipping mayweathers legs

sending him flying into the ropes.

Of course Floyd would be the cleaner more accurate

boxer with Ortiz trying to fight hard in spots

and try to land something hard

with the idea of increasing the pace thro 12 rounds to a 35

Year old fighter who was coming off an 18 mth

                    layoff.

Floyd looked good at times but he was also wiffing and missing

a lot of punches and his footing was off

Point being it wasn't a blow out and we all got robbed of a good fight.

But stop using out classed and makes u look uneducated.

                      Buuuullllllllllllllllllsssssssshhhh!!!tttttttttt

Man I am so sick of hearing about this.
And how about when you "journalists" describe the knock out you stop saying something along the lines of "After a clash of heads Ortiz came forward to apologize to Mayweather and was caught off guard by a quick combination" and report what really happened, which would sound something like this "Ortiz' frustration boiled over after repeatedly failing to land a clean punch on Mayweather after having the challenger pinned against the ropes. With punches having no effect Ortiz jumped head first into mayweathers mouth. Referee Joe Cortez separated the fighters and deducted a point from Vicious Victor who hugged and kissed Mayweather to express his regret for what he would later describe as an "accidental" headbutt. Mayweather accepted the hug and kiss with relatively good grace but Victors repentance was obviously not complete as he offered another hug before Cortez called the fighters back to the middle of the ring and said (out loud, I heard it with my own ears) "let's go". Unbelievably Virtuous Victor wasn't finished apologising and approached Floyd for a third (3) time to offer yet another embrace. Floyd, like me and almost every other able hearing man, woman and child in attendance, had heard the Referees command and raised his gloves to resume the fight (which is after all what they were in the ring to do), saw Ortiz standing there with his arms outstretched and delivered the 2 piece combination that ended the bout."
Now I know it's a hard life being a sports writer and that you have many demands on your time but lazy journalism like this really is a crime!!! Therefore I give full permission for you to copy and paste my above description of the fight and use it as your own. If you need any help describing any other incidents in boxing, or life for that matter just let me know!!
And no Mr. Garcia, Ortiz was not winning the fight and no he was not going to win the fight and no Floyd Mayweather does not fade in the late rounds.
