I expect Kery Davis, who is black, to be more fair to white boxers than Greenburg was.

Black commentators like Antonio Tarver and Manny Steward are always fair to white boxers, while Al Bernstein and Max Kellerman generally discredit them and clearly show they don't like them.

So maybe Davis will be the same - or is that just my wishful thinking?
Davis is only there because of Greenburg's token nepotism. Nothing will change.

They're pushing Broner and Russell vs. tba.

Katsidis was just there to make other lightweights like Casamayor and JMM look good, same as Jason Litzau was there to make Caballero and Broner look good (although the strategy backfired in the Litzau-Caballero fight).

btw the fighter o was talking about in my OP was Vinny O'Brien seems he has already been knocked out

edit: undefeated records mean nothing, as long as his fanbase sticks by him.

I agree and that is the whole point. If a fighter doesn't draw or isn't exciting, or if their is no one exciting for him to fight, than the network isn't going to shell out money. Nothing racist about that, its just sound business.

I remember the highest ratings HBO had in 2005 was for Wladimir-Peter, and the highest ratings in 2009 was for Vitali-Arreola (and it wasn't because of Arreola, because Arreola's previous fight with McCline had very low ratings).

Mayweather is not exciting. How is he on Hbo? (rhetorical question)

I understand Pac being featured, but I don't understand the push for Mayweather who's fights are always dull 12 round decisions.

Katsidas and Litzau are both exciting fighters when they win or lose and thats what the common guy is looking for when he come across a televised fight.

True, except when Floyd gets his opponent with a sucker punch.

Mayweather is undefeated and is in a great division with every guy calling him out, it makes sense to have him on the network, ywah he isnt the most exciting, but he has managed to stay undefeated against top opposition and there is a demand for him believe it or not.......
