Could the same not be said about Toney, with the aging?
I fought with James for a long time and I am telling you that James can not fight as well when he has to go looking for the guy. Look at what happened when he fought Jones. Montel Griffen came down to galaxy and I watched him give James fits for about a week. Montel played the counter puncher, not advancing on James until he could counter and work off of it. Montels speed ****ed James ryhtme up. As did Jones, as will Byrds speed.
Byrd has enough speed to deal with james.
Aswell, look at James mobility after the achilles operation. The guy does not move unless he has to.
And ask him to chase down anybody besides Rydell Booker and you wilkl see James having trouble.
And a reason that Byrd is easier to hit now adays is because he is trying to please the fans with more action, not because of sustaining to much damage or excessively aging.

Trying to please the fans..you bought into that bull**** that Byrd likes to spew...watch Chris Byrd against Ike Ibeabuchi and then watch him now...they are two different fighters.

I agree that if a fighter back pedals and refuses to come at James he could have a problem but Byrd does not have that style. Byrd wont be able to control Toney with a jab, Byrd hasnt controlled a fighter since he beat Jeff Pegues...

I would drop some points on that fight with you.

While our views are different, I do ultimately respect you for keeping it a debate rather than a name calling, trash talking thread.

If the fight does go down, I will certainly remember your comments.

Seriously no offence. But you really do know f**K all about boxing. IF you are a fan of either Chris Byrd of James Toney. Believe me the last thing in the world you would want is for this fight to happen.

Byrd has a very good chance of winning on account of his style. Which would hurt Toney's rep and really improve Byrd's which is the last thing that I think boxing needs.

Chris Byrd likes to use his smaller stature (which isn't that small at all) as an excuse for his consistant poor performances. Little fact about Chris Byrd for whatever relevancy it holds. He only had 3 fight below heavyweight. His first 3.

I watched Byrd coming up through the amatuers. The guy can move and more than that he does have a jab. While fighting men alot taller than himself, a jab is the last thing that Byrd would want to employ steadily. Against James the heights would be similar. Byrd is much faster than James.

Again, I diasgree. Byrd's speed and reflex have slipped, and James' jab can be just as big a factor.

            How's about 100 Million points?

            I got JT.

You're not one to talk about not knowing boxing.

You are constantly talking out of your ass, recycling info you've obviously just read somewhere, and half the time you only join in on discussions just for the sake of being argumentative.

What exactly do these acts "talking out of your ass" and "recycling info you've heard somewhere else" entail. And would you be so kind as to tell me how one would go about to avoid these pitfalls.?

Ill drop 100 mill on the fight should it happen. I only have 98,000 points so you have to spot me a couple........ jus' kiddin' man, i got you covered on it.

Now, is this a bet that has a time limit or is it if the fight comes of before either one retires?

Maybe stick to trying to agitate people in the non boxing forum?

Let's say before the end of 2006?

I would hope it happens next for both of them...
