    hmm

Chris Byrd is no Roy Jones, but he does have a very had style for Toney. Byrd is a southpaw, right? I always forget. Either way, he is an aware and cautious boxer with good handspeed and a good chin. He is NOT what he used to be but neither is Toney. Byrd can UD Toney, no matter how tough Toney is.

I agree that if a fighter back pedals and refuses to come at James he could have a problem but Byrd does not have that style. Byrd wont be able to control Toney with a jab, Byrd hasnt controlled a fighter since he beat Jeff Pegues...
When guys don't come at Byrd, Byrd goes at them. That is the difference. Toney will never chase Byrd, and Byrd will play right into his hands. Toney UD

I think everyone knows now, Chris Byrd is a nobody
The man nearly lost a fight to Mccline, I mean c'mon
He is a bum, with a big name, he wouldn't fight an amateur
I hope this goes down, and Byrdy gets ktfo, round 1.

Byrd would frustrate and defeat Toney. Styles make the fight and James does not have the style to deal with Byrd.

            Rockin'

Byrd has nowhere near the movement he had before, and his skills are clearly diminished. This was evident over the course of his last 5 fights. This isn't 2001 when Byrd's movement and ability was still at its peak.

James would outland and outskill Byrd over 12 rounds. Byrd ain't gonna run from James either because this fight has a lot of sidebeef as far as Mich braggin rights go.

i think you've got a good point here, Toney won't come after Byrd, he'a a counterpuncher just like Fres Oquendo was. Fres did a B level fighter's imitation of James Toney and he beat Byrd. With the real James in front of him, things will go much worse for Byrd. Byrd is faster than most heavyweights, but Toney ( who is slow moving for a middleweight ) is also faster than heavyweights - the speed difference won't be that great. James is an extremely accurate puncher, if he goes to the body in the early rounds Byrd could be in trouble. Byrd has great D, but he depends on moving around, Toney stands right in front of you and you can't hit him clean. This fight, if it ever happens, will end with James " lights Out" Toney by UD

I have no interest for this fight. I want to see Toney fighting Vitali. I think this is the best fight we can have at the heavyweight division.

You don't come here to talk boxing, you come here to argue. You're a complete tool, and you get off on being annoying.

As I said before, I'd venture to say you don't even like boxing. You just seem to retain various facts from things you've read in an attempt to have ammunition to start arguments.

You're a complete waste of everyone's time, especially your own.

.....This may be the single greatest self analysis I have ever witnessed.

                    Hopefully not

Toney vs Brewster = intriguing exciting matchup
Toney vs Wlad = intriguinig interesting matchup
Toney vs Vitali = maybe even is an intriguing interesting matchup

I would watch Toney fight Ray Austin than Chris Byrd.
