hard to predict imo. martinez has the awkward style and size advantage to beat him, but i just can't picture floyd losing. especially by decision, it'd have to be a stoppage within the first 8 rounds or mayweather takes a decision, gift or not. don't think it'll ever happen, but who knows. for now, as a martinez fan, i'd go and root for a martinez W.

Sergio Martinez vs. Floyd Mayweather: who would win?

This fight wets the lips a bit and is quite appetizing, but its just Floyd dont seem to take that small step, like Armstrong did on the moon.
Its like Floyd puts his fellow boxers on a pedestal and isnt quite confident enough in his abilities to do the business. But im afraid being a proffesional boxer you will have to get in the ring with the likes of Sergio, its a hazard of the job like fire is hazards of the job for firefighters.
If Floyd dont like that he should retire. Pavlik didnt expect a bravery award for stepping in the ring with Sergio, neither did Paul Williams, because they realize getting into dangerous fights you may not win is par the course of boxing. But its like Floyd expects a pat on the back and needs comforting like "well done Floyd, it was very brave of you, good little boy"

mayweather gets rocked by lil guys like judah hatton ect. what you think a full fledge middleweight will do once he swings that hammer on floyds chin? mosley almost cracked it and mosley said no to a martinez fight. wonder why?

How about Floyd school Manny first and then look at Sergio at the weight of 150 Sergio offered Pac , and at that weight Floyd will out box him .

Floyd is playing catchup with Pac, so of course he needs to fight Sergio. Theres no point in messing about, Floyds nearly retired. What do you want Floyd do to, keep fooling the paying public?
Floyd cant school Pac first because he refuses to fight Pac. So fight Sergio, people want that. But again, Floyd has put Sergio on a pedestal.
*i can just envision Floyd kissing Sergios shoes*

If Floyd struggled and lost 3 outta 4 rounds to Ortiz you already know what Martinez would do to him.
