Kessler mentally checked out of the fight when he fought Ward. This fight will be tougher for him b/c Froch is much more determined. But besides that, I don't see Ward having to much difficulty winning.

Depends on your definition of "good". While Kessler has the clear edge in technique, Froch's jab has certainly been effective. Effectiveness = good, IMO.

I don't think Kessler is better than Froch. He has edges fundamentally, but as an overall package he hasn't proven he's a better fighter. Froch's résumé is quite arguably better, and Kessler's achievements are deceptive.

I'm not even trying to argue that Froch will beat Ward, but I don't agree with the bold, either. I think Ward should win with a degree of comfort, but not because he thrashed Kessler.

Why the lol? Again, Ward doesn't get hit all that much. And how much did JT really catch Hopkins clean? JT was good, but not nearly as good as he could have been...because of his poor conditioning and his poor defense. Ward would have UD'd JT..easy at that.

But back to the thread, Ward is going to school Froch.

          His fight with Abraham?

And as for Dirrell and Taylor, Froch looked pretty average in both of those fights.
Against AA Froch fought off the backfoot as he did against Pascal and Johnson..He even fought off the backfoot against Kessler..He fought coming to Dirrell and Taylor because bot were tall and could use their jabs from a distance..I think Ward would have looked average in those fights as well..Easy to think not when Ward fought neither..

I don't know. I think Kessler's jab is more effective aswell as clearly better techincally.

I don't put much stock into Froch's jab being a key to his success. It's not really a weapon he uses all that much.

I'd say Kessler obviously has the weaker resume despite a decent SMW reign and obviouly a victory over Froch himself but I feel that's more due to the fact he was injured and out the tornument.

Other than Ward and possibly Dirrell I feel he beats everyone in the Tornument.

I don't base my reasoning to why Ward beats Froch with ease on the fact he beat Kessler with ease.

I'm simply saying that if Ward can beat Kessler with ease than I don't see how it's impossible for him to beat Froch with ease.

Froch would look like a monster if he had Wards opponents/route to the final..Ward has faced not one fighter with decent speed..Taylor would have been landing on Ward bro,so would Dirrell..There is no doubt in my mind about it,let's not forget Bika was landing on Ward...

He didn't box with Dirrell or Taylor because he couldn't if he tried.

Especially Dirrell, a fighter who is far far superior to him in terms of solely Boxing skills.

He will have the same problem with Ward. There is simply no way he boxs with him and if he trys to he will fail.

Ward doesn't fight the same way every time but I could certainly see Dirrell folding if Ward applied those sort of roughhouse tactics.

I don't care how he would have looked if he fought who Ward fought... they're both in the final. When they fight, Ward is whooping Froch's head, flat out. You guys are going to be amazed at how easy its going to look too. I literally can't wait. My most anticipated fight in a while.

I agree, I kept saying how he would make a man out of Dirrell when they fought.
