Best fight of Pac's career as far as footwork, and head/lateral movement. He totally dominated even though he was fighting a drained De La Hoya which is not Manny's fault.

People think Oscar didnt throw punches all because of the weight issue. Yet they fail to see how Pac's movement and left hands were constantly making it difficult for Oscar to let anything go.

The one time Oscar backed up Pac against the ropes, Pac slipped away before Oscar could throw.
Yes Oscar was at an all time low. But if Pac had stood right in front of him, Oscar would have fought back.

Also, pac jumped 2 weight classes up to meet DLH. That is often forgotten.

depends, the lebdwaba win was extremely good but pacquiao going up two weight classes after having fought once in 135 against oscar is still a great win no matter how much people downplay it.

DLH was throwing more punches in the first 5 rds.. He average 60/rd., an activity rate that showed he was far from being a zombie.
With Floyd, he average just 49/rd..
DLH is more effective on boxers who stay in front of him. That was not the case with Manny. He coudn't catch Manny, who fought him in a style DLH was not accustomed to, and that is probably why the frustration in the last three rounds.

            2. Pac has proven himself at WW. This wasn't a fluke result. We just didn't realise at the time how good a WW Manny would end up being. Taking that now into consideration, you can see nothing fishy was going on - DLH just got outclassed by a brilliant fighter in his prime. Pac would have destroyed the Oscar who fought Floyd too.
            The Pac-DelaHoya fight was FIXED!!

Delahoya is Pac's co-promoter and has a financial interest in Pac's future fights.

            Here's the documents:

On Tuesday, Golden Boy Promotions filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court of Nevada against Top Rank Promotions, Top Rank CEO, Bob Arum, and Top Rank CFO David Lopez, accusing the duo of racketeering and fraud and seeking damages in the range of $3 to $5 million plus attorneys fees related to money generated from three Manny Pacquiao fights. BoxingScene.com has obtained a copy of Golden Boy's complaint, which can be found below.

When Oscar quit in his corner, he wasnt breathing heavy, and nor was he hurt.
His eyes were clear and sharp.
Oscar had instructed his corner in the dressing room, as to when to stop the fight.

and since that FIX went well, DelaHoya FIXED Pac-Clottey, Pac-Margarito.

            Then Arum FIXED Pac-Mosley.

Pac ran scared from the 135lbs division cause Humberto Soto, Valero, JMM, Joan Guzman wanted to fight him.

At 147lbs, Pac hs been able to get Arum and/or DelaHoya to FIX his fights.

DLH puprosely did nothing all fight..if you notice he never once pressed the attack. he barely threw punches (in fear of accidentally KOing pac and ruining the fix) and in the few instances he threw punches they had no snap on them. he was just throwing them to keep the crowd fooled. a truly oscar worthy performance (no pun intended)

go back and rewatch the fight and you will see oscar doesnt throw a SINGLE hard punch to pacs head, but very rarely he throws a very hard body shot (to fool the crowd into thinking that hes actually trying). he also fights hard at the 10 second warning of every round and suddenly gets this big burst of energy to make it seem like hes still trying. he does this at the end in case he accidentally hurts pac, the round would end anyway

no doubt oscar was holding back during the whole fight and during the rounds...the fix was completely obvious. then there was that whole controversy about an "anonymous" source saying DLH will take a dive in the 8th round. during the fight i always asked myself "why isnt DLH winging hard shots and left hooks at pacs face? why is he just sitting there inactive for 20-30 seconds?" well its obvious now. because the fight was fixed thats why

even at one point larry merchant says something about oscar not throwing a single punch in 30 seconds. theres no doubt oscar was holding back that night on purpose to try and turn pac into the next star. if you beat a main attraction you BECOME a main attraction..and guess what? it worked..

              Exactly True.

                      ***ing braindead *****!!!!

Take it into perspective. Cotto was brutally beat down by Margarito then had a comeback fight against a nobody in Michael Jennings. He fought Joshua Clottey and looked like crap. Roach and Pac were ringside for that fight and decided to Fight Cotto after seeing how horrible he had looked.

Hatton showed he hadn't found a way to move his head and he had wins over subpar fighters.

De La Hoya beat a sparring partner and was coming DOWN to a weight class he hasn't fought at in years!

Antonio Margarito had a comeback win over a nobody which he still looked like **** in. Stop acting like a win is a win. These guys had wins against nobodies before they fought Pac.
