Marquez is completely right on this. Cortez said lets go but he was talking about getting them into the center of the ring. At no point did he say "Fight!" or "Lets fight!"

It was a hoe move by Floyd and he should've been disqualified or Ortiz should've at least been given 5 minutes.

It was a terrible end to a competitive fight. One of the worse endings in boxing history for sure.

what jmm is probably saying is cortez ****ed up big time. He did restart the fight but not properly. He restarted it by looking away. Doesnt mean he's at fault for ortiz having his hands down, but all these things came into play to give us one of the worst ****ed fights in history.

The funniest part about Cortez's role in all of this is that he had NO IDEA what even happened until he saw the replay. THAT'S a FACT. All he knew is that he didn't see Ortiz until he fell on the ground in front of him, and the guy in charge of counting the KD's was counting.

Mr. Marquez, sir, watch the tape again. Cortez said 'Let's go'. He also turned to Ortiz and gave the hand signal. With 9 seconds left, he was checking the time keeper to see if the round ended. Everything was legal except for the head butt. Everyone has an opinion but Marquez needs to focus on his training.
