Please tell me that is not seriously how you took his post...I dont even know how to respond to this travesty of a post it makes no sense at all, but here it goes.

PhatFarm's post was just stating that Marquez while still being a boxer is a gentleman outside of the ring and conducts himself with class, therefore him being who he is and what he has accomplished in this sport his opinion carries some weight. He was saying that the fight was not started again properly and Cortez did a poor job at officiating this fight, especially during the foul by Ortiz. If you can't see that then you are just blinded by your being a fan of Floyd. I don't know a single boxer that would WANT to win a fight like that and be proud of a win in that fashion.


OH and bringing the WWE into the equation was completely ridiculous one is sports ENTERTAINMENT the other is a official SPORT where the outcome is not pre-determined.

Marquez is completely right on this. Cortez said lets go but he was talking about getting them into the center of the ring. At no point did he say "Fight!" or "Lets fight!"

It was a hoe move by Floyd and he should've been disqualified or Ortiz should've at least been given 5 minutes.

It was a terrible end to a competitive fight. One of the worse endings in boxing history for sure.

I respect Marquez almost as much as any other fighter out there but I disagree with him on this one. Cortez clearly told them to resume fighting after Ortiz had already apologized, Floyd came in with this guard up (Ortiz should have initially gotten the memo) and tapped gloves and Floyd clocked him cause Ortiz seems like his mind was somewhere else. I'm sure even Ortiz feels he has nobody else to blame but himself, and like Floyd said "that's all she wrote". I think it's ridiculous this has gotten so controversial.
