its gonna take more than a win vs Zaveck to do what those have done

and honestly, i was never sold on Berto...he was a great amateur but his pro career hasn't really taken off the way i thought it would...he has a nice record...some money...but as far as growing as a fighter? havent seen much

he gasses out early...doesn't work off the jab...is sometimes flatfooted...he's regressed more than improved IMO...you dont 'resurrect' your career by going backwards
I will give you that no doubt, it will take a lot more than a Zaveck win to do what he needs. Good points on Berto though I've noticed a lot of the same. He definetly does seem to gas out in the middle rounds and fights in explosive bursts as opposed to smart steady pressure. Good stuff man.

Like I said before he WAS NOT COMPARING HIMSELF TO MOSLEY. He was using them as examples as to how you can come back from a defeat and still have a prosperous career, that's all he was saying.

Let's see what his stamina gonna be like in this fight. He has been working with Mr Doping Victor Conte since his loss to Ortiz.

i doubt it's going to be much different. afterall he's been working with conte for only 2 months.
also this will be the first time berto will be sharing the ring with a champ. remember he caught a vacant WBC strap ... so if he beats zavec atleast he's gonna pick some legitimity with it.

Don't think that Conte will help with it. Hope to see a good fight tomorrow night.

No one is writing you off, Berto. You just got blasted during your first real test.

Did you expect them to throw you a parade?

zavec is bigger, stronger, more skilled than collazo.

tell child's stories to someone else berto.
Did you watch the fight? Most would call that a close fight. I had berto winning by a round. Plus, Collazo is no scrub. From what i have seen of Zavec he is at least one level below Luis.

yeah i watched it 3-4 times in the last few days. we could argue who's below who, but collazo was the smaller guy in that fight. zavec is a pretty big welter, berto's size so his shots are gonna hurt a lot more then collazo's. ortiz also beat him up pretty badly although, he let himself beat up as well. can't wait to see the fight...

I was the reporter that asked Berto if he feels he risks becoming a forgotten fighter.

Here is the story I wrote about it:

                      Andre Berto's Biloxi Blues‏‏
How a loss to Jan Zaveck could leave Berto as boxing's forgotten fighter!

By Jeffrey Freeman - They say a boxer is only as good as his last fight, and in the case of Andre Berto that last fight was a...
