Good, i'm glad people are writing Berto off. He should just use it as fuel to improve and stay hungry. Then come back stronger than ever. He is right in saying people have written him off. I still think he's a good fighter, just underestimated his last opponent and payed for it.

good point - i mean if everybody just coddled him like he had been - he wouldn't he able to generate that hunger again. I think he's still a very good fighter, and has a chance to be right back where he was, if not higher, after a few more fights. It starts with Zavec this Saturday! Hope it's a CRACKER of a fight!

berto is not a superstar. never was, probably never will be. he's just been lucky and has been given great opportunities by hbo/haymon/dibella. sure he's fairly entertaining to watch, but if you can't even sell out an arena in your hometown, you're not a superstar. especially when you've had all of those hbo opportunities to get your name out there.

and it's not like anyone had him as a pound for pound elite fighter to begin with. it's pretty much what everyone said would happen: once he stepped up his level of competition, he was probably gonna lose. it's been evident since the collazo fight, which i thought collazo edged out.
