a lww collazo spanked and wobbled berto's ass , and people are telling me zavec's got no chance.

    ???

zavec is bigger, stronger, more skilled than collazo.

I'm sure he'll get a questionable decision against Zaveck which will leave him with another title to defend against creampuffs.

No, he didnt actually, he was using Hopkins and Mosely as examples as to how you should not right off someones career just based off of one lose. Using them as examples because they have 5 or 6 loses. I personally dont think he has anything to ressurect at all, he had a good close FOTY fight with Ortiz that he lost and now he has to get back to where he was. GOOD LUCK BERTO!!!!

Thing about Berto is he really just fights off raw power and emotion and not much skills his chin has always been suspect so every time Berto gets in the ring with somebody who can actually punch and box he's exposed because you can't just overpower everybody for instance little Floyd didn't get this far(41-0) by overpowering guys, you have to be versatile an able to adjust.. Berto even admitted himself last yr that hes like to **** too much and it might just be his downfall and it was.. Ortiz gonna find that out too in a few weeks because he's got so use to just overpowering guys in his last few fights that hes hit the weights and bulked up even more for more power than necessary sure he looks like a beast but it's not all about that... Kinda reminds me of that DBZ episode when Trunks bulked up to SS3 to try and defeat Cell, he became much stronger but was just too muscular, bulky and slow and Cell just toyed with him and then showed him he could do that too(bulk up) if it was all about power(for the DBZ fans)..

                    im playin bro

but for real...he said 'look at shane and bernard and how they resurrected their careers'

its gonna take more than a win vs Zaveck to do what those have done

and honestly, i was never sold on Berto...he was a great amateur but his pro career hasn't really taken off the way i thought it would...he has a nice record...some money...but as far as growing as a fighter? havent seen much

he gasses out early...doesn't work off the jab...is sometimes flatfooted...he's regressed more than improved IMO...you dont 'resurrect' your career by going backwards

"You're only as good as your last fight" That's how it is in boxing. Berto is a good fighter. If he puts on a great performance on saturday then he's back in the mix again. I think Berto has a bright future and I'm looking forward to see what he brings to the table this weekend. It should be a good fight.
