*****s love this logic. Baldomir was the #1 ww. Juan manuel marquez was #2 pound for pound.

We know every dog has his day. Howcome nobody mentions buster douglas as a great win for holyfield even though he was the number 1 heavyweight at the time? Howcome *****s love to trash hatton's win over malignaggi when he was the #2 140lber in the world at the time?

And yet leonard's win over hagler is considered a great win under the same circumstances. Dlh's win over chavez considered a great win under the same circumstances which is why I bring it up.

Yes, when obviously matters. Let's use common sense.

Buster Douglas was overweight, out of shape, and not motivated for that fight. And Holyfield was considered the top dog after that fight. So your claim that "nobody " gave him credit is false.

It's generally thought that Hagler was past prime at the time of the fight, but Leonard was fighting 2 weight classes above his best weight against one of the greatest middleweights of all time. That's why it's viewed as a great win. Oscars win over Chavez isn't really viewed as a great win. Not sure where you're getting that.

Really? I haven't seen anyone give him credit for that in a long time.

In regards to Leonard, he mostly gets credit for taking on an active middleweight a legend having himself fought only once in like 5 years. The win isn't that impressive if you strictly the quality of the opponent (when).
