Well this tread backfired in ts's face,LOL!! ***** logic, wow. Floyd's fighting a young, strong, prime, welterweight champion. Pacman is fighting a 40 year old lightweight at welterweight, it's time to leave Floyd alone, don't ya think?

Absolutely. It is the modern day boxing 'thing to do'. Every major fighter does it now sadly, though I really don't know why you are singling out Mayweather and his fans. If anything Pac is much, much worse than Mayweather at it, especially considering he fought all the same guys Floyd did well after Floyd already beat them. Pac is quite clearly the worst culprit of this awful trend. His record and fighting name fighters who are past it, and coming off losses is utterly pathetic and it still baffles me that he isn't pulled up on it a lot more, especially with the amount of hate that Floyd gets for doing similar things, though to a much lesser degree.

When was the last time Pac fought someone coming off a career best win? He has fought a many, many fighters coming off career best (read worst) losses and knock outs. I hardly think making a thread about something Pac is quite clearly the worst culprit at, yet trying to relate it to Monee Mai and his ****** fans makes any sense.

Anyway, it is the thing for promoters to do now. Rather than make historically significant fights, as used to be the norm in boxing, it's now about getting the biggest name with the least risk, which means no matter how badly they've just lost or how many times they've lost, how old they are or how shot they are, if they are a big name we are going to see the top dogs fighting them.

While the Ortiz fight is a largely foregone conclusion, it's at the very least a breath of fresh air in that Monee Mai is fighting a young peak guy still improving that is coming off the best win of his career. Whatever else can be said, it's better than fighting 40 year old after 40 year old coming off loss after loss.

Actually, can you imagine if Mayweather fought Oscar, Hatton, Mosley, Marquez, Margarito etc after Pac had beaten, dominated or knocked them out? Everyone would completely flip out. Pac gets away with it from many people, despite it being weak as piss yet if Monee did it, he would be vilified like no one else in boxing history would have been. Quite funny what you can get away with if you act nice.

Nope, because in *******s logic, it's not cool to fight someone YOUNG, Prime, everyone should be old, dusty, shot and those are the best fights. Except when anyone does it other than Pacquiao that is.

The Margarito fight turned me away from Pacman. A lot of men have jumped ship now too. But it sure took long enough. He was getting pass after pass for cherrypicking colder than Floyd ever did. It's about time people wake up & smell the coffee, it's a nice aroma!!
