I really have to laugh at some of the comments here. Ortiz/Pac bandwagon fans want so badly for someone.....anyone to beat Floyd. Saying that Floyd is basically average, maybe good, hasn't fought anyone in their prime, blah blah blah. I would think that people on a boxing message board would be smarter, or at least be able to recognize boxing skill.
Well, Naz Richardson said you can get to Floyd, but when you do, he grows fangs and spits fire. Then he goes to work on you. Freddie Roach said Floyd will probably KO Ortiz by frustrating him then baiting him and Ortiz will walk into a counter. He said Floyd usually has that kind of power.
His chin and heart are also among the best ever, along with his skills. Ortiz will to have his best night, and Floyd his worst, for an upset to happen. He is too skilled, has too good of footwork, etc for him to get KO'd. Ortiz has a puncher's chance, but even that is slim against someone with Floyd's defensive skills. I give credit to Floyd for taking on a young hungry champion that is dangerous. Much more risky than Pac fighting an over the hill 38 yr old lightweight that has proved he sucks at 144. If Pac struggles with JMM, he will once again fear the tests/Floyd.
