Weight is is factor in power.
obviously weight is a factor. but its only one factor out of many.

reality is you dont need much weight behind a punch to knock someone out. after that a lot of it is speed and placement, and also your ability to brace and carry the power through in your punch.

weighing 190lbs is quite enough weight to knock out pretty much anyone. for most people, weighing over 220lbs starts to slow you down and a decrease in speed of course decreases the power of the punch. Tony Thompson is sadly an outstanding example of this. He is slow as crap and despite being a big guy(240lb+), he himself says he cant 'punch his way out of a paper bag'.

look at someone like Zuri Lawrence. son of a ***** never had a knockout in his career, despite weighing 230lbs, and actually was kind of a contender after his win over McCline. surely youre not going to suggest Lawrence has a power advantage over say Floyd Patterson or David Haye.

If thats an unfair comparison, look at Valuev. bastard weighs 310+lbs, but honestly cant punch for crap when faced agaisnt ANY top ten opposition. Valuev was title holder for a while and top ten, I think even top 5 at one point, in the 2000s. Please dont tell me you think Valuev hits harder than Patterson or Haye, despite his 100+lb weight advantage.

also my post mostly had to do with weight=punch resistance, but, I guess we will move on.

Wlad could weight 220 and still hit harder than tyson.

He's a bigger man, a more athletic specimen, has longer arms, etc etc there is no comparison

Unfortunately for you "being white" isn't an athletic attribute. Back to the drawing board Goebbels :loser9:

                  Punch for punch probably.

Difference is Tyson was explosive and bombarded you with hurtful punches.

If their PSI was to be measured then Wlad probably packs more power than Tyson.

Lots of HW's hit a lot harder than tyson
                    This is true.

But 99% of HW's dont come near to Tysons speed, combinations, footwork, athleticism, reflexes, timing and accuracy. At his best.

People think Tyson = power. And over look why he was able to dominate the division in his youth, but not after he returned from prison.
