The guy was a small CW by todays standards, I know you love the old timers but c'mon take off your blinders of hate for Wlad and at least pretend to be objective. Shavers has alot of 180 190lb fighters ko'd on his resume most of which were not even very good.

Post prison bro. He had the skills but fell in love with his power and if he coulda just knock you out he didn't care anymore because he always still figured I'ma just get paid off my name.

              A. Weight doesn't equal power. This has been explained to you on more then one occasion.

              B. Having power doesn't make you a great fighter. Shavers lost to his top opponents because he was an inferior FIGHTER not because he was an inferior puncher. There's a hell of a lot more to being a fighter then just having power. THIS has also been explained ad nauseum.

And by the way, Shavers fought most of his career at 205-210 pounds. The current Cruiser limit is 200. If someone spends most of his career 5-10 pounds OVER the Cruiserweight limit then he isn't a "small CW by today's standards".....he isn't even a big Cruiser, he's a Heavyweight even by "today's standards".

I doubt any WW hits as hard as even the most pillowfisted HW, weight is a contributor to a fighters power.

I am not saying Shavers was a light puncher by any means, maybe the hardest CW puncher ever but Wlad is top shelf in that regard. Alot of solid mass at a high velocity creating great force in his shots.

Most top CWs are walking around at 215-220 I suspect.

Roberto Duran "walked around" at over 200 pounds quite frequently. That didn't make him a Heavyweight. It's the weight you fight at that matters not what you "walk around" at.
