    I hope not. I'd love to see a renewed Dawson at 175 when Ward, Dirrell, Froch, Bute, and the 168ers move up.

      I disagree, he was just exposed to being over hyped more than anything.

        But, if you felt that he was ruined. Then how can you say that a guy like Hatton should beat Malignaggi.

        That's why I asked. Ruined and all.
        ruined is a strong word. but i dont think that Hatton was the same after the loss to Floyd.

          Definitely agree with this.

            Maybe not the same. But, not much was loss IMO. He never had a granite chin, he was still tough, he still could pull the trigger, he wasn't hesitate in that aspect. He was still fight in the trenches.

            I don't he probably wasn't the same but for sure he wasn't ruined or shot or done. The Malignaggi fight proves that.

              Fringe contenders/journeyman was fighting competitive against Lacy prior to Calzaghe.

              He was undefeated but he wasn't what he was made out to be.

                lacy was the next tyson how dare you. life and death struggle with omar sheika, getting outboxed by syd vanderpool, rubin williams, and some guy named donnell wiggins before getting stoppages. what other hot prospect gets outboxed by such mediocre competition? why would anyone hype this guy up? i'm convinced it was mostly frank warren and british television and no one even knew who lacy was in america. they just looked at calzaghe's record and said "yeah this guys a euro bum lacy will kill him"

                  Not that they were physically dazed, but they don't know what adjustments FMJ made, why they can't get off, why they can't stop him from hitting them. It's frustrating and disconcerting.

                  More than any other fighter, I see Floyd's opponents dejected on the stool or being yelled at by their trainers.

                  Floyd has said it, and Andre Ward quoted Floyd in a recent interview: It doesn't look that hard. "Yeah, he has the record, and he has some speed. But I don't see him being anything special". Then you get in there and it's no fun.

                  Pac - Shaq
                  Floyd = Akeem/Tim Duncan
                  Wonder if Floyd would pull that against Pac, he'd be leaning his head right into that left-hookercut he likes to throw.

                      Naw Lacy wasnt good before he fought Joe. We know he was hyped.

                      Poor kid got the hell beat out of him for 12 uncontested rounds and was never the same again. Joe took years off his career in that fight.
