J-Ro, did i say fighters were ruined?

I gave my perspective on what I think a fighter "is" during and after. I avoid use of the word (or any synonym of) ruin.

I think fighters are changed by many fights. hatton was certainly changed by the FMJ fight. You feel his chin wasn't dented, and I disagree based on him getting hurt by Lazcano.

His habits worsened after the Floyd fight and his confidence was shot FOR MONTHS.

I don't think it's anything physically with Hatton, and I don't think he was 'ruined' per se. But, he wasn't the same.

Hattons whole thing was being undefeated, invincible, unbreakable, unstoppable etc that was his whole mentality. 'no one can beat him'.

Once he was beaten, legitilly and offically. Knocked out none the less. Mentally, it took something from him.

But I don't think he was 'ruined' and I do think he was very very game against Pacquaio and the win was still exceptional.

Abit similar to Sugar Ramos. Ish.
I could feel Hattons pain. I saw all the build up tp that fight and unlike most people who fight Floyd I geninely felt that Hatton KNEW he would win the fight and for him to get KO'd in silly cartoon fashion was kind of messed up.

There wasnt a doubt in Rickys mind that he would beat Mayweather. Not one. So he had a long fall down.

Yeah Im with you. Pavlik went to a total head case. Im anxious to see how Pascal bounces back. Imo I dont think losing to Hops will affect Pascal at all. Hes a different breed of guy imo. I hink hell be fine.

But my goodness Pavlik went crazy..lol.

Wasn't that the point you were making? That Floyd ruins fighters one way and Pacquiao ruins fighters another way? If not I apologize, I mistook the point of what you were saying.

                    I didn't because I didn't feel Hatton was ruined.

But, if you felt that he was ruined. Then how can you say that a guy like Hatton should beat Malignaggi.

That's why I asked. Ruined and all.

Also off topic/ I dont think Pascal will be ruined by the Hops loss like Pavlik. However Hopkins will ruin Chad Dawson. Hes soft as hell.
